Also, WOMEN have it far harder here in the USA to prove they can be president (we are so behind the times) .. so I am not so sure she will make it on the Ballot.. we will have to wait and see.

Ledud1, I am about 40 miles away from St Helens, 50 miles away to Mt Hood. I did not film the eruption of St Helens in 1980, but I did record via a webcam of the small plumes she did back on Dec 19 2006.

As far as anyone running for the 2008 Presidents, I try to review what their ISSUES are and where they stand, how they voted etc. Like this one shows Clinton on the issues here:
http://www.ontheissues.org/Senate/Hillary_Clinton.htm
And This one shows where others are on the Issues & how they voted etc:

Clinton may not even make it down to the time we actually vote.. So far she is up against Chris Dodd, and John Edwards (other Democrats that are running) . And we won't officially know if Obama will run for Dem President until February 10th..

Oh, I was here when St Helens blew up.. I saw it and remember it very well. She used to look alot like Mt Hood before she blew her top off. St Helens also did some big plumes on Dec 19 2006. I also watched that as I was driving that day. I live a 45 min drive to Mt Hood (on a nice day) and about the same distance to St Helens, and about 45 minutes to the beach, and we live here in the City. And it's only about a 45 min drive to the closest beach here too.

See the two St Helens vids I put together here to compare 1980 to 2006:

Yes it's ok here -- I see Mt Hood (recently 3 men died up there) and I see Mt Saint Helens Volcano from where I live almost every day. But the beaches here are best and great for whale watching. :-)
