This is the fourth video teaching phrases by the legendary guitar player Charlie Christian better known for his involvement with the Benny Goodman 5tet during the swing era. This short video lesson teaches a major II-V-I phrase played by Christian from the tune, "Solo Flight" off the album of the same name. As part of the Jazz Guitar player's Signature Series, each lesson in this collection explores the improvisational concept of an influential artist within the history of jazz guitar. This is done with a short transcribed riff, most likely played over a reoccurring harmonic cadence (eg. II-V-I). Downloadable pdf music/tab & mp3 for this video is available at the Miami Jazz Guitar internet site.
