Peter Jackson responds to the hobbit criticism and we have the details!

We reported last week that the footage of the hobbit revealed at cinemacon was not taken in too well by audiences. The reason? Well peter jacksons revolutionary 48 frames per second as opposed to the 24 frames per second that we are used to. Many claimed the flick looked like a quote, soap opera. Not exactly the feedback Jackson wanted..but he has responded...

He said, "It does take you a while to get used to...Ten minutes is sort of marginal, it probably needed a little bit more. Another thing that I think is a factor is it's different to look at a bunch of clips and some were fast-cutting, montage-style clips. This is different experience than watching a character and story unfold."

Jackson also explained the footage presented at Cinemacon would look different once it goes through the post-production process. He also added that "People haven't experienced it yet in the way it should be experienced."

Despite the negative feedback, studio executives and producers at Cinemacon found many saying that 48 fps represents the wave of the in other words we better get used to it people!

The hobbit releases December 14 2012, so I guess we will just have to wait and see if Jackson is good on his word! So what do you guys think?
