The addition to the fall line-up made waves at the San Diego convetion over the weekend, and fans are getting revved up for "Secret Circle's" debut on September 15th. The show is based on a book series that ocmes to us from L.J. Smith, who is also responsible for "The Vampire Diaries" books. Not only that, the executive producer on Secret Circle is Kevin Williamson who is one of the people heading up TVD, as well. It safe to say that TVD fans will love what they're about to see. According to Williamson's statements during the show's panel in SD, "it's a great story. It's rich in mythology, it's rich in character, it's rich in relationships." Britt Robertson, who you all know for her starring roles in the DCOM "Avalon High" and in another CW show "Life Unexpected," will head-up the cast for "Secret Cirlce" where she'll play Cassie, an orphaned girl who relocated to her mom's hometown to live with her grandmother, only to learn that her personal history is much more complicated that she could've ever imagined. At Comic Con, Britt revealed that we're going to be learning a whole lot about Cassie's dad on the show -- she said that "going further, you'll find that her dad and her past have a more of an evil side. So there's that pull inside of her and she's not sure where to go with it. Now for those of you looking for something to compare Cassie's dad to -- well, another producer on the show, Andrew Miller aligns him with Klaus on TVD. He divulged that for Cassie, "having lost her mother, there's going to be a part of her that needs to explore that side of her that comes from her dad. In that exploration, we're going to leaern much more about this guy and be very afraid." So that's a whole lot of great info on the Secret Circle.
