X-Factor wrapped its audition episode with lows of rejection and lackluster auditions, and highs of inspiring and even "perfect" performances. Here are the highlights!
I'm Erin Darling and here's your X-Cap!
If you were worried about 13-year-old Trevor Moran who passed out backstage at the San Francisco auditions, you can now sleep a little easier. Paramedics diagnosed the contestant with dehydration and excitement, but even that could keep him down as he insisted on going to the audition anyway. Trevor rocked it out to LMFAO's Sexy And I Know It, which Simon Cowell called a memorable performance...although it may not have been the most age appropriate song choice.
40-year-old minister Freddie Combs sang an inspiring rendition of Wind Beneath My Wings which he dedicated to his wife, who stuck by his side as he lost nearly 400 pounds! LA Reid called the performance "heavenly." Simon Cowell tells the wheelchair-ridden Freddie that he had a vision of him standing while singing that song and the two of them strike an impromptu deal. In a moving moment, Freddie vows to his wife that he will stand next time he sings the song.
But nobody's performance got the "p" word expect for 16-year-old high school student Lauren Jauregui who LA Reid called "perfect" after her powerful take on Alicia Keys' If I Ain't Got You. Wow, now that's a compliment!
