    Lenny Henry scoops theatre award

    Lenny Henry, a relative newcomer to the stage, won best actor at the Critics' Circle Theatre Awards, for his performance in American drama Fences, set between the Korean and Vietnam wars. Lesley Manville won Best Actress for her performance in the Almeida Theatre's production of Ibsen's play Ghosts, which she has described as "my Olympics moment." Best Musical went to The Scottsboro Boys at the Young Vic Theatre, London.
