Lady Gaga treats us to new U.S. tour dates AND new details about her upcoming 'ARTPOP' album! Hey Little Monsters, welcome back to ClevverMusic. As you already know, Lady Gaga is releasing her next album 'ARTPOP' sometime early 2013, but what we know now is that it's not just an album but "a PROJECT" and will be "a multimedia experience" available to fans in various forms including a downloadable app.
In a statement posted yesterday to LittleMonsters.com Mother Monster revealed, "The most major way to fully immerse yourself in 'ARTPOP' is through the app. ARTPOP will be released as an iPad, iPhone, mobile and computer compatible application that is completely interactive with chats, films for every song, extra music, content, Gaga-inspired games, fashion updates, magazines, and more still in the works!"
Gaga explains the beauty of the app is that she can add to it long after its initial release date. Gaga ends the statement with a plug for Apple, saying, "(start asking for IPADS FOR XMAS!!)" But not to worry if you don't get one, the album will also be released in traditional physical and digital forms as well. Seems Gaga is taking a tune from singer Bjork who was the first major artist to release an album as an app.
But that's not all the Gaga juice we have for you! Mother Monster just announced brand new "Born This Way Ball" North American tour dates early next year! A whopping twenty six new dates in Canada and the U.S. were announced, and we've put all of them in the description for you! The new leg of the tour will kick off January 11th in Vancouver and end March 16th in Miami.
But now it's your turn to weigh in on this news! What do you think of Gaga's album being released as an app?! Leave us a comment and be sure to subscribe to ClevverMusic for all your Gaga news, see you next time.
