After letting professional Counter-Strike 1.6 players get their hands on it, Valve agrees, the game isn't ready yet. . Valve's Chet Faliszek said, "They gave us a lot of feedback on things we should get in the game before we release it, otherwise we're going to be getting a lot of bug reports or a lot of feedback and it would be just redundant." . The beta was originally planned for October, but does not have another date scheduled yet. Once it does go live around 10,000 people will be invited to participate. Chet said, "The biggest thing of those first 10,000 is we have to look at percentage of crashes. You can argue with us on bullet-spray patterns and all kinds of things, but crashes? There's really no argument for that." . He also said Global Offensive will be the same game on all three platforms, PC, PS3, and Xbox 360. There will be 16 maps at launch including eight classic maps and eight Gun Game maps. There will be new modes inspired by modern shooters, like deathmatch and zombie modes which will be added post launch. .
