Who will play J. Edgar Hoover in the new Clint Eastwood movie? We'll tell you in just a moment. Welcome back to Clevver Movies. I'm Amanda Janner with the latest movie news. Playing the role of infamous FBI director J. Edgar Hoover will be none other than Leonardo DiCaprio. The actor recently signed on to the upcoming biopic to be directed by four-time Oscar winner Clint Eastwood. The screenplay will be written by Dustin Lance Black, who also penned the Academy-Award-winning script for Milk. This has the industry buzzing that Black's script may focus on Hoover's private life. The controversial first FBI director reportedly kept files on political leaders and public figures containing potentially damaging information that he used as blackmail. And Hoover's personal life is fraught with allegations that he had a penchant for cross-dressing. No word yet on whether DiCaprio will don a dress for the role. The film is set for production later this year and tentatively scheduled for a 2012 release. So what do you think of DiCaprio being cast as the lead?
