TTR Nechkino Cup 2012 - Wrap Up
Nechkino is a nice ski resort in the middle of Udmurt Republic, about 50 km from Izhevsk. Izhevsk is the capital of Udmurt Republic; also you can know it like a hometown of noted gunsmith Kalashnikov.It’s easy to reach from Moscow in 1.5 hour by plane or in 13 hours by train.Sport and Tourist Center- is a modern year-round resort located at the beautiful place surrounded by forests on the banks of the river Kama. It’s a resort with a European-level infrastructure.There are 10 ski tracks of various degree of complexity with difference of heights to 115 meters, longest of which – more than 1,2 km. Also we have a Snowboard Park. Nechkino is equipped with the advanced lifts, including four-seater chair lift.Three years ago we started to set up the Snowboard Competitions to get a one TTR star. Those actions have united the best Russian snowboarders and free ski riders. All of this was accompanied by a concert and DJs sets, and evening has ended with amazing fireworks. In 2009 the competition passed in Snowboard Park, and in 2011 we prepared a special ski track with different springboards.Thereby in 2009 the status of the competition has a one star, in 2011 it was a two stars event, so now we are going to organize one more TTR competition and make this action our annual tradition.
TTR Snow Crown 2012 - Preview
The newly launched Canadian Snowboard Freestyle Championships, the Snow Crown, will be held this March at Canada Olympic Park in Calgary Alberta. This premier event will replace the final National event formerly known as Canadian Freestyle Nationals. This event will bring together athletes from across the Country to compete in Halfpipe and Slopestyle. With major sponsors, an entirely new event delivery team, tons of prizing including $15,000 Cash, This event will become the staple as the final tour stop for rider in both Junior and Open categories each year. Between March 12-18 this is your opportunity to train, compete and hang out with athletes and coaches from across the county, with a shot at being crowned king or queen of Canadian freestyle snowboarding.We have compiled this Event Guide to ensure that you have all of the information that you need leading up to the event.
TTR Poney Session 2012
The 4Star TTR Poney Session celebrated it’s 10th year anniversary with the seasonal theme being, hunting and fishing. Amazing level of riding was shown by all, with riders coming from all across Europe. Best Of TTR Overall Champions 11/12 - Stale Sandbech and Cilka Sadar
The TTR Overall World Tour Champion titles were a tough reach for many riders who focus on one discipline, but Stale and Cilka Sadar are consistent in both pipe and slopestyle which is a growing rarity in snowboarding these days. Cilka registered 14 TTR results throughout the season with almost a perfect balance of entries in halfpipe an slopestyle disciplines making her one of the most versatile women snowboarders in the world today.Stale Sanbech (NOR) also registered 14 TTR results throughout the season across slopestyle, halfpipe and big air disciplines. Although he wasn't able to get a top spot in halfpipe, Stale took podium spots in slopestyle at the Burton New Zealand Open and in big air at the Air & Style Beijing. When asked how he feels about winning the TTR Overall title, Stale said, "I wasn’t really going for it at the start of the season, but then I was leading and thought ‘wow’, maybe i can actually do this! Now at the end, it was exciting. 'It is really cool to be part of that legendary list of riders who won it before."
Best Of TTR Halfpipe Tour Champions 11/12 - Iouri ...
The 2011/2012 TTR World Tour came to a close at the 6Star Burton US Open with men's and women's halfpipe finals. After a gripping season full of countless highlights, Iouri Podladtchikov (SUI) and Kelly Clark (USA) clinched the TTR Halfpipe World Tour Champion titles. Kelly Clark took a podium spot once again to receive the TTR World Tour Champion trophy for her clear domination in the halfpipe over the course of the season. Although Kelly didn’t manage to come in first in her home state after being undefeated in 16 consecutive contests, she undeniably sets the standard for women's halfpipe snowboarding. It was Elena Hight (USA), finishing the season in World No. 4 in the TTR Halfpipe Rankings, who broke Kelly's string of wins with less than a one point difference today. Kelly had this to say about her second TTR title win, "I’m super happy to have won this, it has been a competition at every event and the other girls have really pushed me to level where I am right now."Iouri Podladtchikov also had an amazing season standing atop podiums at every TTR competition he entered. Reaching back to the Burton New Zealand Open where Iouri took third place, he continued his season of success with a first place finish at the World Snowboarding Championships in Oslo, Norway and won again at the Burton European Open in Laax, Switzerland. He capped off his season nicely with the coveted win here at the US Open.
Best Of TTR Slopestyle Champions Sebastien Toutant and ...
After an exciting day of slopestyle finals at the 6Star Burton US Open, Sebastien Toutant (CAN) and Jamie Anderson (USA) have been officially crowned the 2012 TTR Slopestyle World Tour Champions. The 2011/2012 season was packed full of amazing slopestyle competitions around the globe and after today's finals at Stratton Mountain in Vermont, USA, Sebastien and Jamie were awarded with the TTR Slopestyle Tour Champion trophies. Sebastien clinched the title with his win in today's slopestyle competition and Jamie set her title in stone with her first place finish, as well.The slopestyle finals at the 30th Anniversary of the Burton US Open featured a high level of competition today in both the men's and women's events. The women's finals kicked off in the morning on the slopestyle course where Jamie Anderson displayed her buttery smooth style on the jumps and rails. Jamie's second run was her best of the day and earned her the victory with a frontboard to fakie, Cab 720 nose grab, switch backside 540 mute, tailslide to 270 out and finished with a 50-50 to backside 180 out. Kjersti Buaas (NOR) had a solid run to take second place and Enni Rukajarvi (FIN) ended up in third.This is Jamie's third TTR Champion title of her career and was very happy with her season saying, "It has been another great season and I am very stoked to pick up another TTR World Tour title. It's my favorite discipline and I was happy to seal it off with a first place today!"The men dropped into the slopestyle course in the afternoon and it was a tight battle to the end. After falling on his first two runs, Sebastien Toutant put it all together on his third and final with a Cab hardway to 270 on, Cab double cork 1260 melon, frontside double cork 1080 mute, frontside wallride to 270 out and ended with a 50-50 to backside rodeo out. Ulrik Badertscher (NOR) came in second place and Seppe Smitts (BEL) completed the podium in third.

The last contest of the season, the 6Star Burton US Open Halfpipe event, came to a dramatic conclusion, with 4 new TTR World Tour champions crowned.A huge crowed turned up to see who would win the TTR Halfpipe Tour trophies as well as the prestigious TTR Overall World Tour titles.After dominating all season Kelly Clark had the fully support of her fans behind her as she dropped in and scored a 83.56 straight out of the gate.Elana Hight surprised everyone knocking Kelly Clark into second place with a great second runKelly tried to answer in her third run, but had to be happy with second place which was still enough to secure the TTR Halfpipe World Tour title.The Mens competition got off to an explosive Start with Shaun White throwing a 90.44 in the first run.Only the americans were able to keep up with Shauns red hot performance. Benji Farrow landed a great final run to take home 3rd place while Louie Vito gave everything he had, scoring just 1 point less than shaun and taking 2nd on the day.After an amazingly consistent season and a strong result at the US Open, Iouri Podladtchikov became the TTR Halfpipe World Tour Champion.The renowned TTR Overall Tour Champion Trophy celebrates all-round performance and consistence over a year long season. Going into the US Open Cilka Sadar had already secured her title, but the mens trophy was still up for grabs. The three favourites in the running were Stale Sandbech, Janne Korpi and Christian Haller. Janne need a top 5 finish in half pipe to beat stale. As he dropped in for last run he knew he had to make it count. He didn't make it. Now only Christian Haller had the chance to take the title with a second place finishWith Christian ending up in fourth place, Stale sandbech became the TTR Overall World Tour Champion.
TTR Burton US Open 2012 Slopestyle Finals - Sebastien ...
The TTR Slopestyle Tour drew to a spectacular close as four of the worlds best snowboarding athletes faced off at the 6Star Burton US Open in Stratton.Going into the competition Jamie anderson and Roope Tonteri led the Slopestyle tour rankings but after an uncharacteristic result Roope didn't qualify for the finals. Jamie Anderson had the lead, but spencer obrien was hot on her heels and a big result here was all she needed.As the womens got under way Spencer O'brien only had to place one spot above jamie to take the Title. After already losing out on one title to spencer this season Jamie threw down an amazing second run, scoring 90.10 points.Spencer had one last chance to take it but luck wasn't on her side and she couldn't improve on jamies score.The mens slope style tour battle came down to two riders - Chas Guldemond and Sebastien Toutant. Seb was the underdog, needing to beat Chas by 4 places to claim the trophy. After washing out on his first two runs Seb stepped it up and scored an amazing 92 points, putting him into first place.Reality hit as chas felt his title hopes begin to disappear. He had to go big.All looked good until the second hit. Chas went down and with him went his chance at a title for another season.With the TTR Halfpipe World Tour champions yet to be decided all eyes are on the final event of the season, the 6Star Burton US Open Halfpipe.
