The 22nd annual Murphysboro Barbecue Cook Off is a dual sanctioned event that takes place at the end of September on 17th Street in Murphysboro, Illinois and is hosted by "The Legend", pitmaster Mike Mills. The event features $17,000 in prize money and lasts three days.
