A family of gorillas at the bronx zoo interacting.The gorillas in the wild are heading towards extinction because of human interaction, by hunters poaching them for bushmeat,deforestation and diseases like TB,polio and ebola. They are living fossils,only because the forests of africa were once impenetrable. There are 6 billion people on earth but of human beings most ancient ancestors, only a few thousand remain.These primates are very significant ,it is as if Cro-magnum or Neanderthals were still walking around in our midst. World charities must help to save this important species from extinction.
