Visita al futuro di Campo di Fragole.In mattinata incontriamo di nuovo Giovanna e le altre due volontarie. Ci portano a far visita al piano superiore del nuovo centro. Parlando con loro mi sembra che le nostre accompagnatrici siano molto preoccupate per il futuro di questi ragazzi, ma allo stesso tempo nel nuovo centro in costruzione vedono una speranza per loro. Vogliono fare di questo centro il faro del quartiere, un luogo di ritrovo per grandi e piccoli. Un pozzo di speranza per tutta questa gente che si sente dimenticata e abbandonata. Con questa nuova costruzione potranno accogliere molti più giovani, organizzare momenti insieme con le famiglie, in modo che si possa costruire un rapporto genitore-figlio dove ci sia dialogo, comprensione e sostegno reciproco.

For me it’s quite angry so I wanted to turn that into a positive cause I don’t agree with destroying things – well sometimes it’s a good idea. I was sort of imagining the choir in Angels With Dirty Faces, the James Cagney film. There’s a fairground quality to it too. I changed this track quite a bit. It’s huge now.
