Samsung Galaxy S II (AT&T) hardware and software video ...
MobileBurn.com - AT&T is the second major carrier in the U.S. to release a version of the Samsung Galaxy S II smartphone, following Sprint and its Galaxy S II Epic 4G Touch. AT&T's version is much more faithful to the original, global edition than Sprint's is, as it features the same 4.3-inch, WVGA (480 x 800 pixel) resolution Super AMOLED display and square corners as the global model. It is powered by the same 1.2GHz dual-core Samsung Exynos processor as the others, and features 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. The AT&T Galaxy S II has the same 8 megapixel camera with autofocus and flash, as well as the same 2 megapixel front-facing camera. The rear camera will record 1080p HD video. Like the others, AT&T's model runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread and Samsung's TouchWiz 4 interface, though there are some minor differences between it and the version of TouchWiz on the Sprint model. AT&T will be releasing the Galaxy S II on October 2 for $199.99 with a new two-year contract. More info: http://www.mobileburn.com/news.jsp?Id=16420
HTC Rhyme smartphone hands-on and live first look
MobileBurn.com - HTC has just announced the new Rhyme smartphone that will be headed to Verizon Wireless. The Rhyme is a typical slab-style smartphone, but it offers some unique features and accessories that HTC hopes will catch the eye of ladies who are shopping for a new smartphone. Behind its 3.7-inch, WVGA display is a 1GHz processor and 768MB of RAM. The Rhyme runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread with the latest version of HTC's interface, dubbed Sense 3.5. Sense 3.5 offers new widgets to quickly accessed recently-used features, as well as a redesigned app tray. HTC is including a number of accessories with the Rhyme, such as wireless charging dock, tangle-free headphones, and a charm that has a notification light at the end of it. The charm will light up whenever there is a missed call or new message, and it is easy to see without digging the phone out of a bag. The Rhyme will be available on September 29 for $199.99 with a new two-year agreement.More info: http://www.mobileburn.com/news.jsp?Id=16677
RIM BlackBerry Curve 9360 live hands-on
MobileBurn.com - The new BlackBerry Curve 9360 is the latest model in the Curve series of smartphones from RIM. It features RIM's new BlackBerry 7 OS, and has a new, 800MHz processor. The Curve 9360 is also the thinnest Curve to date, measuring only 11mm thick. It does feature the classic Curve keyboard, but it lacks the touchscreen and faster processor found on its bigger brother, the Bold 9900/9930. Without a touchscreen, the BlackBerry 7 OS is a cumbersome as ever, but the processor did not seem to perform much worse than the 1.2GHz unit in the higher-end models. The Curve 9360 is only available in Canada currently, but it will be hitting U.S. carriers in the near future.More info:http://www.mobileburn.com/news.jsp?Id=16307
LG Marquee (Sprint) live first look and hands-on
MobileBurn.com - The LG Marquee for Sprint is the U.S. edition of the Optimus Black that was released globally earlier this year. Like the Black, its claim to fame is its 4-inch NOVA display, which LG says is one of the brightest on the market at a 700nit rating. The Marquee is powered by a single-core, 1GHz processor, and it runs Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread, though it is lacking the LG interface we saw on the Optimus Black. The Marquee is pretty much all plastic, but thanks to this it is remarkably light in the hand. A 5 megapixel autofocus camera with flash is on the back, while a 2 megapixel unit is up front for video calling. Sprint will be releasing the Marquee on October 2 for $99.99 after rebate and a new two-year agreement, though customers can place a pre-order for the phone beginning September 20.More info: http://www.mobileburn.com/gallery.jsp?Id=16618

Samsung Galaxy S II Epic 4G Touch (Sprint) video tour - ...
MobileBurn.com - The Samsung Galaxy S II Epic 4G Touch is the first version of the Galaxy S II smartphone to be available from a major U.S. carrier. It features a couple of upgrades over the original Galaxy S II that we reviewed earlier this year. Namely, the screen is now 4.52 inches across, though it is still a WVGA, Super AMOLED Plus unit (which is no bad thing). The Epic 4G Touch sports a 1.2GHz, dual-core Samsung Exynos processor and 1GB of RAM. It runs Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread and has the latest version of Samsung's TouchWiz interface. On the back is an 8 megapixel camera with autofocus and flash, and the front is home to a 2 megapixel camera for video chats. The rear camera can record video at 1080p HD (1920 x 1080 pixel) resolution. Sprint will be offering the Samsung Galaxy S II Epic 4G Touch on September 16 for $199.99 with a new two-year agreement.More info: http://www.mobileburn.com/news.jsp?Id=16419

HTC Radar Hands-On and First Look
MobileBurn.com - The HTC Radar is the second of HTC's newly announced Windows Phone 7.5 (Mango) handsets, unveiled at several locations across Europe. The Radar is a smaller handset than the Titan, and features a 3.8-inch display with the same WVGA resolution of its bigger brother. The Radar also boasts a 5 megapixel camera that sports a 28mm lens and f2.2 aperture like it's bigger brother, and also has a backlit sensor, which should make an improvement over HTC's previous phone cameras. The HTC Radar crams its components into a sleek aluminum unibody and is powered by a 1GHz processor, with 8GB of storage for your music and photos.More info: http://www.mobileburn.com/news.jsp?Id=16449

Lenovo ThinkPad Tablet hands-on and first impressions
MobileBurn.com - The Lenovo ThinkPad Tablet is the comapany's effort to produce an Android 3.1 Honeycomb tablet that is geared towards the business user, while still providing features that consumers will appreciate. By and large, it is a typical, 10.1-inch Honeycomb tablet, with a 1280 x 800 pixel display and dual-core NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor. Build quality lives up to the ThinkPad name for the most part, and the ThinkPad Tablet certainly feels solid in your hands. A slew of full-size ports grace the device, and Lenovo also has a stylus with an active digitizer for pen input. The stylus is a neat concept, and might work for some users, but it likely won't appeal to most. Unfortunately, despite running what Lenovo says is final software, the ThinkPad Tablet that we got to play with was rather sluggish and buggy, and seemed to be slowed down by Lenovo's custom widgets and interface. The ThinkPad Tablet can be ordered now from Lenovo with prices starting at $499 for the 16GB version.More info: http://www.mobileburn.com/gallery.jsp?Id=16417
Samsung Galaxy S II (AT&T) live first look and hands-on
MobileBurn.com - The Galaxy S II for AT&T is the U.S. version of the phone that is most similar to the European model that was released a few months ago. It sports a 4.3-inch, Super AMOLED Plus display, dual-core, 1.2GHz, Samsung Exynos processor, and Android 2.3 Gingerbread with the latest version of Samsung's TouchWiz interface. In your hand, the AT&T Galaxy S II feels just the same as the European version, meaning its very light and thin, but very plasticky feeling at the same time. As expected, the dual-core processor had no issues pushing around homescreens and menus, and apps opened up with little to no lag. The powerful speed is also seen in the browser, as pages loaded very quickly, and panning and zooming were effortless. AT&T has yet to release pricing information and an exact release date for the Galaxy S II, but it says that we should be seeing it hit shelves in the coming weeks.More info: http://www.mobileburn.com/gallery.jsp?Id=16421

MobileBurn.com - The Samsung Galaxy S II Epic 4G Touch for Sprint is the first version of the Galaxy S II smartphone to be available in the U.S. It features a 4.5-inch, Super AMOLED Plus display and a 1.2GHz, dual-core processor. It will be available from Sprint on September 16 for $199.99.More info: http://www.mobileburn.com/gallery.jsp?Id=16422

The 9930 does not have autofocus whatsoever, unlike the Torch 9810 or Torch 9850. Its noise cancellation with its microphones is impressive, however.More info: http://www.mobileburn.com/review.jsp?Id=16220
Samsung Conquer 4G (Sprint) smartphone hands-on video tour
MobileBurn.com - The Samsung Conquer 4G is the first WiMAX smartphone from Sprint to be released at a price point south of $100 on contract. Because of this lower price point, the Conquer 4G does not have the most up-to-date specs or the largest screen on the market. Its 1GHz Snapdragon processor and bone-stock build of Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread is no slouch though, and get the job done for most intents and purposes. The 3.5-inch screen is HVGA (320 x 480 pixel) resolution, but it appears to be noticeably granier and more pixelly than one would expect for a screen of this size. The Conquer 4G has a 3 megapixel rear camera, with flash and autofocus, and a 1.3 megapixel front-facing camera. It does not record HD video however. The Conquer 4G will be available from Sprint for $99.99 on-contract on August 21.More info: http://www.mobileburn.com/news.jsp?Id=16108
Facebook Messenger app for Android video tour
MobileBurn.com - Facebook has released a new stand-alone messaging app for the iPhone and Android smartphones that marries its Facebook Messaging service with the group messaging app Beluga that the social network purchased earlier this year. Called Messenger, the new app allows you to quickly and easily access your Facebook messages and chats, and start new single or group chats with both your Facebook friends and those in your phone's contact list. The app has location based features as well as innovative image sending options that let you pick a photo from your phone's gallery, or use Bing Image search to insert an image from the web. The new Facebook Messenger app is free and available in the iTunes App Store and Android Market now. More info: http://www.mobileburn.com/news.jsp?Id=16146
Samsung Exhibit 4G (T-Mobile) video review
MobileBurn.com - The Samsung Exhibit 4G is a mid-range Android smartphone with features that would have been top of the line only a year ago. It has a 3.5-inch, WVGA (480 x 800 pixel) display, and is powered by a 1GHz Samsung Hummingbird processor. Refreshingly, it runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread with a pared-down version of Samsung's TouchWiz interface. This, coupled with the fast processor, allows the Exhibit 4G to perform admirably, especially for its target market. The 3 megapixel camera leaves a bit to be desired when it comes to speed of image capture and autofocus, but it is equipped with a LED flash for low-light pics. The Exhibit 4G is well-built and feels nice in the hand thanks to its soft touch coating on the back. You can pick up the Exhibit 4G from T-Mobile now for about $99.99 on-contract.More info: http://www.mobileburn.com/news.jsp?Id=15146

The PHOTON 4G records sound with microphones on both the front and back of the device.More info: http://www.mobileburn.com/review.jsp?Id=16119
