THIS ANIMATION IS BASED ON A REAL PHONE-IN TO AN IRISH RADIO STATION... a man accidentaly hypnotised his hen, and turns to the radio presenter for advice, at his peril!
"Days Like This - The Big Match" - Pilot
"The Big Match", directed by Joel Simon, is Flickerpix's latest short film which depicts a man's recollection of a special day from his childhood. The events described took place in the eighties in Dublin. The film uses archive footage and photography, as well as hand drawings to bring the story to life.
"HORN OK PLEASE"
"HORN OK PLEASE" follows a monotonous day in the life of an Indian taxi driver named Lucky. Lucky's goal is to earn enough rupees to buy the air-conditioned taxi of his dreams... HORN OK PLEASE was produced in 2006 by Flickerpix Animations Ltd. in Belfast. It is a creative collaboration between animators from India and Northern Ireland. This film is combination of stop-motion (clay) models and drawn, composited backgrounds. The whole film was shot on a NIKON D70 stills camera and post-produced in After Effects on a simple pc. "ON THE AIR" - EPISODE 5
"On the Air" brings some of the most idiosyncratic phone-ins from BBC Radio Ulster's Gerry Anderson show to the screen by animating the real-life dialogue with colorful characters and re-interpreted settings. Randal calls in about his lost dog but Gerry is more interested in his love life... The series is produced by Flickerpix Animations Ltd., who produce animated series, short films and commercials with an emphasis on stop-motion character animation.
