Climate Camp vs RBS & Tar Sands, Edinburgh August 2010
Tar Sands in Alberta, Canada is an oil extraction site the size of England. The local First Nation communities who live there are dying in great numbers of rare cancers and respiratory disease and are forced to move away or die. Tar Sands is the second most deforested place on the planet. It produces 4 times as many greenhouse gases as traditional oil extraction. The Royal Bank of Scotland is 83% owned by the public but it is also 'The oil and gas bank.' It has invested around £8 billion in Tar Sands. Tar Sands alone can tip the planet into runaway climate change, unless it is shut down quickly.

Goodbye Gordon Brown (Taking the revolutionary road)
Post Election day, evening, May 7th 2010. An imaginary & hopefully humourous telephone conversation between Gordon Brown & Nick Clegg. What can we the people do in a this current climate of huge national deficit, threat to the Euro, huge cuts, increasing runaway climate change and lack of real democracy? This 4 minute film urges people to take power into their own hands (peacefully) and to attend the post election conference, 'Taking the Revolutionary Road' in London on May 22nd at 1 - 6pm at Birkbeck College, University of London, WC1E 7HX - discussing the possibility of a network of national and international 'People's assemblies.' Thatcher & Son
David Cameron's rather untruthful version of Thatcher vs the trade unions and a short but hopefully amusing look at her legacy. Excepts taken from The People's choice for best film 2009 'Sold Out' at The A World To Win film festival.
The Hangmen
3 party leaders, 3 men in the same boat. But the public are not waving but drowning under a record £905000000000 national debt (rising by £104 a second), climate crisis and the corporations wielding too much power over the politicians, us and the planet. But it can be diffferent - A World To Win have launched 'a manifesto' of ideas for debate and discussion. www.aworldtowin.net for reaction to the manifesto, have your say and take part in the post election conference on May 22nd, 'Taking the Revolutionary Road.'
(Copenhagen Cop15 Climate Change) Composting capitalism
corporate capitalism is slowly losing its grip on the people as an ideology. In Copenhagen during the COP15, this was apparent. Since the financial crisis, more & more people have become dissatisfied with their lot. With the failure of a good deal in Copenhagen with no binding targets and old money to help poor countries - even the planet can die as long as there is financial growth in the short term. Sold Out (Capitalism in 2009)
Dylan's first film. It won 'The People's Award for Best Film' at 'Fastforward 2009' film festival (London, July 4th) run by A World To Win. http://aworldtowin.net/film/fastfwd.html (All music rights granted with the agreement that this remains a non-profit making film) A really interesting movie that explains our historical and political background. A brilliant idea. The movie has to be shown to every student in the UK! Matthias Gutting
