Joséphine Derobe, qui a commencé sa carrière à Paris comme journaliste et photographe, s’est tournée vers la stéréographie en 2006. Dans le cadre du Vancouver International Film Festival, les films français ont été mis à l’honneur lors de la réception "Spotlight on France" qui s’est tenue à l’hôtel Sutton Place le 12 octobre 2011.A cette occasion, Mme Evelyne Decorps, consule générale de France à Vancouver, a rencontré les réalisateurs de deux films français sélectionnés au VIFF 2011 : Mme Brigitte Sy, réalisatrice du film "Les mains libres" et M. Jean-Michel Bertrand auteur d’un documentaire filmé dans les Hautes-Alpes et intitulé "Vertige d’un rencontre".

Alain Berthoz is a leading neurophysiologist and an honorary professor at the prestigious Collège de France where he holds the Chair of Perception and Action Physiology. Pour la première fois depuis sa création en 1973, le SIGGRAPH (Special Interest Group on GRAPHics and Interactive Techniques), salon mondial de référence pour l'image de synthèse, les effets spéciaux et les techniques interactives, s'est tenu hors des Etats-Unis, à Vancouver. Plus de 15 000 participants se sont ainsi rassemblés au centre de conférences de la ville, du 7 au 11 août 2011. Parmi eux, de nombreux professionnels français, issus de tous les secteurs liés aux technologies numériques : animation, jeux vidéo, effets spéciaux, applications scientifiques ou médicales, création artistique... La présence française sur le salon a notamment été illustrée par un stand du pôle de compétitivité Cap Digital, labellisé par Ubifrance. Sept films d'animation français ont en outre été sélectionnés au Computer Animation Festival du SIGGRAPH.

Christophe Hutin, qui fait partie de la nouvelle génération d'architectes français, a fondé son cabinet d'architecture à Bordeaux en 2003. Il a depuis réalisé des projets en France, en Afrique du Sud et en Mongolie.
