Rainpour makes things difficult for the big cat film crew, but is welcomed by the big cats themselves as it gives them opportunities. Simon King watches Amber the cheetah as she uses the weather in her favour by hunting a Thomson's gazelle, then later the cubs take shelter under Simon's car and play in the rain. Also two lionesses, sisters - one which is unable to run, stalk and ambush a waterbuck and has a close encounter with one of the cheetah cubs.Jonathan Scott explaines the importance of scent in the lives of the Marsh lions and observes a rare event. Shadow the leopard kills an impala fawn in clear view of the film crew. After leaving her original prey behind, the mother impala, she loses it to hyenas but stashes the fawn kill in a tree.
