Debukas - 'Knowledge'
The debut Debukas EP firmly planted him as one to watch, with four tracks that explored underground electronics with a pop sensibility and grounding in classic house and techno. This new seven track EP continues down this route with his rich analogue sound and soulful vocals again taking centre stage. The originality of his music stands out with the use of his voice combining as riffs, fx and melodies alongside the more traditional lyrics, and from his well stocked studio of vintage synths and drum machines where he has been honing his craft and developing a sound which is as much indebted to Arthur Russell and Gino Soccio as it is Underground Resistance and Model 500.The Pleasure Patterns EP explores the outer edges of 4/4 club transmissions with the locked in groove of 'Loads Of Time' and the muscular synths of 'Rings', hitting an almost disco feel with 'Golden Mind'. Drops the tempo for the loose and percussive 'Titanic' and trippy, hypnotic vibes of 'Send Me Out' and 'Knowledge' showcases some deft drum programming and vocal editing for futuristic disco dance floors. It's left to Pional to round the EP off with his remix of 'Golden Mind'. He spots the disco feel of the original and filters it through some Madrid sunshine into a dreamy house epic. We've been fans of Pional for some time, and he's currently riding high after his two collaborations on the John Talobot album which are arguably the finest tracks on the album.Debukas has recently featured on Mary Anne Hobbs' XFM show with a DJ mix and she has played three tracks from the EP on her show. He's also remixed indie darlings Spector, label mates Crazy P and the new single by Drums Of Death. https://www.facebook.com/debukashttp://www.debukas.com/http://soundcloud.com/2020visionrecordings/debukas-golden-mind-pionalhttp://soundcloud.com/2020visionrecordings/debukas-golden-mind
Choir of Young Believers - Rhine Gold (live session)
http://ghostly.com/artists/choir-of-young-believersChoir of Young Believers, led by Jannis Noya Makrigiannis, garnered an imposing number of accolades in their Danish homeland for a debut full-length, 'This Is for the White in Your Eyes'. Rolling Stone said "Founding songwriter Jannis Noya Makrigiannis, manages to sound utterly alone — singing in cold echo with the high, keening melancholy of the Zombies' Colin Blunstone and the Neil Young of ‘A Man Needs a Maid,’" while Under The Radar says "With one foot firmly planted in the realm of orchestral pop, the other dipping its toe into ‘50s pop-song structures, Makrigiannis crafts a Spartan but cinematic world of melody and melancholy." 'This Is For The White In Your Eyes', signalled the arrival of a powerful new talent, possessed of a fully formed vision, arch compositional ingenuity and a tenor to die for. 'While White in Your Eyes' racked up overwhelmingly positive international press, it can practically be seen as a soft launch for Choir of Young Believers’ masterful 'Rhine Gold' out 9th April on Ghostly International.

Max Cooper - Remix of Hiatus' Third'
VIDEO BY VICETTO. His description of the generation of the video:"The Piano1 and Piano2 parts of the track emit particles, traced to the centre, whose movement is based on parameters like the complexity and amplitude of the sound. The bass controls the growth of the sphere and the strings the 'clicks', and the sound as a whole changes the colour of the animation. The speed is controlled by the frequencies of the sound, and there's a limited amount of adjustment of the effects by hand to keep the animation nice."The track, the Max Cooper remix of Hiatus's Third, is available on Beatport at www.beatport.comVicetto website: vicetto.com
