Wave energy is a new exiting renewable source of energy. It has the potential of supplying at least 10% of the world's electricity supply with a very stable source of energy. Wave Energy is less volatile than wind energy, has no environmental impact, on the contrary it actually attracts marine life because it acts as a sanctuary for marine life. Wave Star Energy has developed a system that protects the marine energy material from the most violent storms. The basic concept behind Wave star is fundamentally different to many other wavepower models. The machine does not form a barrier against the waves, but instead cuts in at right angles to the direction of the wave. Wave Star Energy in scale 1:10 has now been in operation and grid connected since April 2006 at Nissum Bredning in the North Western corner of Denmark. Since then the company's test machine has logged more than 16,000 operational hours, been through 12 significant storms and is a major step on the way towards commercial wave power. It is expected the first 500 kW converter will be installed in the North Sea during 2009 and will be grid connected to a big offshore wind park 15 km into the sea. The installation will be made in collaboration with the two utility companies Vattenfall and Dong Energy, who jointly own the 160 MW offshore wind park. The scale converter can be visited in the Northern part of Denmark and is open by appointment. A pier connects it to shore. It can be visited in all weather conditions. Because of globalisation, wave energy is expected to soon become commercial. It only requires enough countries in the beginning to provide attractive feed-in-tariffs for wave energy.

Lars Rohildt -Nordic-bioenergy with danish Minister Hedegård
Nordic BioEnergy’s (NBE) main objective is to produce renewable energy based on biogas production. NBE develops, sells and manufactures technologies and concepts for the production of renewable energy through treatment of agricultural and industrial waste. Combining the energy production with separation technology ensures that the energy is produced on an environmentally friendly basis as energy production and recirculation of both nutrients and purified water take place at the same time. This provides a basis for large-scale energy production on industrial conditions. NBE has a six point business strategy that covers a well-defined project split-up which ensures that future plants will be profitable and that all external conditions are clarified in relation to the conditions for the operation and earnings of the plant. Nordic BioEnergy develops, sells and manufactures separation technologies both for separation on farm and in combination with biogas plant. Pre-separation on farm concentrate the nutrients from agricultural waste and provides a 95% utilization of the nitrogen part compared to 65% in the manure. Furthermore gives the pre-separation a reduction in transportation costs when the fiber fraction is supplied to biogas production. Separation after biogas plant also concentrates the nutrients, which hereby can be supplied at field as an optimized fertiliser. MT Højgaard has gained its expertise in shoreline and offshore construction from the construction of numerous harbours, tunnels and bridges, from the Maldives and Lebanon to Stockholm and Central London. And not least, MT Højgaard has undertaken the vast majority of the world’s offshore wind turbine foundations. Meeting Europe's need Foundations for offshore wind farms is a core business that MT Højgaard aims to maintain and expand in the years to come. But as future wind farm locations move further offshore, new challenges will arise: greater water depths and larger wind/wave forces, more demanding seabed conditions and bigger wind turbines. To meet these challenges, innovation is a must. In order to meet Europe's need for a renewable energy infrastructure based on wind, continued technological advances will be required to create tomorrow's offshore wind parks. MT Højgaard is determined to be among the leaders in making it happen. Because where offshore foundations are concerned, We know how. Manfred K. Sørensen from Blacksmith and Minister C.Hedegård
Blacksmith is a small firm with focus on renewable energy. The firm has designed a biomass stoker featuring safety, versatility and good economy. If you use a stoker system to heat your house your heating will be CO2 neutral. When CO2 neutral fuel like wood is burnt the amount of CO2 released is exactly the same as the amount captured by the tree during its lifetime. This is good for our climate and the greenhouse effect compared to heating using fossil fuel oil in an oil-fired heating system or heating using electricity from a coal-fired power works. A prominent feature of a Blacksmith stoker installation is its versatility. Due to its robust design you are not ’dependent’ on one type of biofuel (wood pellets) but can use a wide variety of other biofuels like wood pellets, pieces of wood, olive seeds, cherry stones and refuse grain. Blacksmith’s Stoker furnace is a complete unit with stoker and solid fuel burner together. All parts are screened. The unit can be supplied for installation on either the left or right side of the boiler. The unit is equipped with a variable speed fan to minimise intermittent firing, thus achieving better economy. The system’s output ranges from 5 to 18 kW when firing with wood pellets. The stoker can be fired with wood pellets, olive seeds, grain, fine biofuels and rape/canola pellets. The solid boiler can accommodate pieces of wood up to 50 cm.
