The Australian Prime minister Rudd makes a formal apology to generations of British children who were sent to Australia as migrants and orphans over many decades, and often placed in institutions where they were abused, or made to work in slave labour without contact from their families in Britain, and who had no legal rights. No former Prime Minister in Britain or Australia has ever recognized the abuse that those child migrants suffered, and the British Prime Minister Gordon Brown has yet to apologize to the families and children of Britain.
