This is a project that started in early 2010, when there was no “Cycles” to make renders with blender. The intention was to learn to can deal with the new interface of Blender 2.5 and learn from the great blender teacher Jonathan Williamson. In this link you can access the video series which shows how to model the porch:http://cgcookie.com/blender/2009/12/05/modeling-a-porsche-911-gt3-rs-part-01-2/Blender community always makes things easier. And looking on the internet for how can rig a car I found a specific addon for this task.Car rig:http://blenderartists.org/forum/showthread.php?239360-Car-RigThis is a lot like rigify addon (included in blender), but for cars So I use it and I made some small modifications, for me it would be easier to animate. On The next video , you can see the Rig in action , and how to reuse it in other cars ( sorry my english )And some cool pictures ( in my opinion) of this car on my portfolio:http://www.lluisgarcia.es/porche-gt-911/
I create this scene about 1 oe 2 years ago for learn about voodoo and camera traking and how integrate the data of the camera and the objects into the scene. The camera traking can be improved and the lighting etc. .. but for a first contact I think I got an acceptable result .. (without the problem with a fence at the end of the video :) )I abandon this project due to time and later to know the existence of the development of the tomato branch so I decided to wait for the camera traking was available in the official version of blender.Currently traking camera is already built into blender ... but I'd rather wait to do this kind of scenes when the development of render layers in cycles render is a little more developed.
This is my finshed result for the second weeck in the naturre accademy....On the nature accademy course the finished render is done on blender internal but this render is in cycles. I change somethings on the file for adapt to cycles.Render time for this animation take about 5 hours in GPU mode with GTX 460 and dual cuad core on windows 7 (100 passes ).more information:http://www.lluisgarcia.es/rocks-animation/I hope you like it !Sound effect by dobroide at freesound.org:http://www.freesound.org/people/dobroide/sounds/60119/
