Joe Blair 12-6 SUP Racing Board
After a long wait, I finally got my Joe Blair 12'6 SUP race board. It's way different than any of the other racing stand up boards that I've ridden or even seen. Actually, the closest one to this would probably be the Jimmy Lewis 12'6. But the Jimmy Lewis 12'6 is much thicker, the rails are different and the outline is different. Some of the other ones almost have a kayak type look, or paddleboard type look and feel. But to me, this one to me has more of a surfboard feel. Joe Blair 10-6 SUP Stand Up Paddle Board
http://www.standuppaddlesurf.net/ This is the board I've been talking to Blair about for probably the last 3 months or so. I told him that I wanted the board, first and foremost, to be fast. I need to be able to use it on bigger surf and when I want to get out of the way, I want to be able to paddle. I want to make sections so I don't get pounded and get stuck on the inside. Joe Blair 9-8 SUP with 6 inch Center Fin
Heres a short video I took of Joe Blairs 9'8 SUP custom board which he made for my friend Jeff and I 'borrowed' for a while. The board has a slightly pulled in nose, round pin tail and originally had three 4.5 fins on the bottom. Da Hui July 4th SUP Race-video
http://www.standuppaddlesurf.net/ The July 4th Da Hui race this year was a blast. This is the first time I participated and was really impressed. Everything was run like clockwork and very professional. The conditions were ok with a light wind and occasional gust...better than the Olukai race but not enough to fly on. Starboard Super 12-6 SUP Windsurf Board Video
http://www.standuppaddlesurf.net/ The Super 12'6 is a normal stand up board but it's been rigged up so that it has a mast track that you can put a windsurf sail in the middle. It also has a retractable keel in the middle and all these different attachments. It's really pretty cool. F-15 versus F-16 - SUP racer comparison
Here's a short video clip to show the similarities and differences between the S.I.C. F-15 and F-16. In the F series, the F-16 is a hollow molded carbon fiber 16' SUP racer and the F-15 is a foam core hand shaped custom SUP racer. The F-16 is quite a bit lighter than the F-15 but I'm not sure on exact weights. Starboard 8-5 x 30 SUP Board
http://www.standuppaddlesurf.net/ This is part of the series of video clips I took from my Starboard HQ visit in Thailand. On the video is Svein Rasmussen, Starboard CEO, showing the new 85 x 30 board, which he said gives the rider a different perception of SUP surfing. He said that when he tried it, it gave him a good and easy surf experience. It can take on a 160 lbs. rider and will still have that ease and glide that you could get from a 105, 112 or even a 126.
