Keely, Ife, Rachel, Keeva and Josie talk in the diary room about John James while Corin tries to retrieve a pair of boxers from an ice statue as part of the Uber Cougar task on day 36. h
Before the other housemates wake on day 50, John James and Josie spend some quiet time together. They discuss how John James told the diary room that he gets excited to see Josie in the morning. I think the producers were afraid they were going to start having sex, because they keep cutting the camera away everytime they get close to each other.
John James watches Josie do the laundry in the kitchen, then Josie brings up John James an incident during the stuck on a wall task where John James grabbed Josie's breast. From day 17.
John James has decided he's going to quit the Miss Haversham task. He's tried to convince Rachel to quit the task too, but she's just not interested, and he knows if he quits the task, she fails the task too, so he's feels guilty and goes between leaving and staying. From day 57.
Jo decides to use John James' absence from the house to bash him to Dave and Steve. She says if anyone else wanted to quit a task the other housemates would come down on them "like a tonne of bricks", but because it's John James, no one says a thing. I will point out for posterity that when Jo refuses to participate in the nasty nominations task FIVE DAYS LATER, no one comes down on her like a tonne of bricks. Dave and Steve also get in their digs at John James' expense. From day 57.
John James and Rachel are about 15 minutes into their Miss Haversham task and John James' anger is about to boil over. He's hinted to Rachel that she should quit, but she's not taken his hints. He attempts to get away from her by going the only place he can, but Rachel's fog horn knows no bounds. From day 57.
John James and Rachel are called by Big Brother to begin their Miss Haversham task, and John James is in no mood to fool around. Instead of just quitting, he seems to have hatched a plan to convince Rachel to quit, she's not falling for it though. From day 57.
Thanks to Cathy for pointing out that this file had never been uploaded properly, I am re-uploading it.Keely, Ife, Rachel, Keeva and Josie talk in the diary room about John James while Corin tries to retrieve a pair of boxers from an ice statue as part of the Uber Cougar task on day 36.
In the beginning of what would ultimately prove to be the end for John James' time in the Big Brother house, Big Brother has set the housemates a task themed on Charles Dickens. Despite the fact that all of the other male housemates have been assigned male parts and all of the female housemates, except Jo, have been assigned female parts, John James has been assigned the role of a female and has to wear a dress and high heels, as well as having to spend 24 hours alone in a room with Rachel (sitting in uncomfortable chairs the entire time). To say John James is annoyed is a massive understatement, as a matter of fact, he's decided to quit before it even starts! But in the end he reluctantly begins to put his outfit on and finds it quite confusing. Meanwhile, Josie, Jo, Sam, Andrew and JJ begin practicing their part of the task, which involves an intricate dance routine. From day 57.
As Josie and her mom read the OK magazine split interview, Josie's cheerfulness from earlier in the morning is replaced with bitterness over John James' leaving. It's not helped by her mother, no fan of John James, who tells her that Mr. Right wouldn't just walk away when the going gets bad (let me just point out since we didn't get to see John James and his mother that Mrs. Right wouldn't tell Mr. Right to leave either). After being shown a photo of John James that Josie's defaced, we're then show footage of Josie doing the press junket for There's Something About Josie. Josie's press interviews focus a great deal on John James and the status of their relationship, which Josie confirms is over. In an attempt to get over John James, Josie gets a new haircut and performs another photoshoot.
As the episode begins, Josie tries to put her arguments with John James to the side as she tries her hand at dress design. When she returns to the flat, John James and his packed suitcases await as John James has kept to his word from the previous episode to return to Australia. Josie tries to smooth over the situation, but John James tells her that there's no coming back after she's repeatedly told him to leave. Later, the cameramen pick the argument they had while being interviewed for their final joint OK interview. The couple then sit down for a dinner out where the remember the good times from the Big Brother house, and Josie appeals to John James to stay, which he doesn't respond to. John James says his farewells to JJ.
As Josie accompanies John James to the airport, the realization that he is really going begins to hit her, which elicits panic, anger and desperation from her as she tries to convince him not to go back to Australia. John James for his part believes they need time apart to see if there's anything worth salvaging from their relationship. After John James leaves, Josie returns to Bristol where she discovers OK has painted their relationship as being over, which she doesn't think is true. She then oddly goes house-hounting. As her mother joins her looking at houses, Josie seems oddly chipper and disconnected from reality.
Josie, Keeva and John James discuss why John James and Josie's argumentative ways. John James explains the problem that Josie has with arguments and it probably explains a lot as to why they weren't able to make it work. From day 34.
When Ben tells Josie and Iffe that John James was really selfish with his allotment from the shopping budget, Josie and Iffe correct him and tell him that John James gave away almost all of his treats to other people. John James comes into the bedroom in the middle of the conversation and somehow gets the idea that Iffe had been complaining that he ate too many bananas. From day 34.
