More ‘Mania for your ‘money. Music… Wrestlemania 16 Steve Blackman (Groundshaker) by Malcolm Nichols from Focus Music. Wrestlemania 17 Slick (Jive Soul Bro) by David Wolff, Vernie “Butch” Taylor, and Jeff Batte. Signature #6 by Jim Johnston. Just two ‘Manias in this edition due to the sheer amount of botches that occurred during Wrestlemania 17. It’s still the greatest Wrestlemania of all time though…as long as you ignore the first half of the card. The Hardcore Holly footage comes from the fabulous Kayfabe Commentaries YouShoot, the Raven stuff is from RF Video’s shoot interview Vol. 2 and Edge’s DDT is from The True Story of Wrestlemania. Re-edited with useful footage courtesy of Matt Kruger, Simon and Jimi Forsman. Much love, Windjammers.
From the Badd Blood 2003 DVD, so don't expect to see on the Network. Nash said it best: ''Wrestling is about kicking ass and hot women...but the TV is written by guys who've never been in a fight and never been with a woman.'' So here's Stacy Keibler, really happy that Steiner now owns her (having beaten Test) and is going to fuck the shit out of her. You know, how women act in real life. 2003 WWE was gash.
More filler than a ham and pease pudding, it's Botchamania 246: Mengowar! Music... Dark World by Koji Kondo (The Legend of Zelda: A Link To The Past) Main Theme by Rob Hubbard (Road Rash) Kickstarter song: England 5 Germany 1 by The Business Azure Lake by Howard Drossin (Sonic 3) Battle! Champion by Junichi Masuda (Pokémon Diamond & Pearl) Thanks To... Superfan Enrique for Scott Lost's intro Weird just showing an unedited clip from something as an ending, but I think it works. It got a laugh out of people at MAGFest and that's all that matters. Some clips from Badd Blood 2003 have been used before, but it's really one of the worst PPVs WWE has ever put on so fuck it.
The annual tradition continues. Just like Whacking Day. Music... Kiddik 'r' Us by Armcannon Contra Diction by Armcannon E2M1 - I Sawed the Demons by Bobby Prince (Doom) People who were disappointed at the length of CZWaMania 2012 will be saddened by the length of this one too. Hey it's not my fault CZW's better than it used to be. I don't pay these fuckers to deliberately botch, despite what Vin Gerard may say. As far as worst match of the year goes, BLK OUT vs. Bald Dudes because of the fuck-ups,''Botchamania'' chants and Robbie Mireno's unplanned shoot (which got him fired) which I mercifully cut out of this video. The ending to Rory Mondo vs. Danny Havoc gets the shout-out for worst botch. At least it happened at TOD, where the chance to see someone die is half the appeal. I don't know what's supposed to be happening, so don't ask. Apparently Rory Mondo retired after the Cage Of Death main event. If true, then respect to the guy. I've taken enough shots at him throughout his career and yet he stuck at it and got better. He still didn't change his damn gimmick (which was the biggest criticism myself and others had about him) until his last match, so well done again. This makes Gacy the worst wrestler by default, but he had some satisfying matches with Tremont this year HEY respect again. But the future looks good for CZW and it's great roster. Gulak, Fox, Swann, Strickland, Excellent, Beaver Boys, Colon and others make the shows fun if you ignore or fast-forward the DJ Hyde segments. Er, I mean CZW is not wrestling, boo garbage and light-tubes booo.
Cheaper than a night with Buff Bagwell and guaranteed to last longer, it’s Botchamania 245: He-Meng! Music… Slum No.5 (American Sports Team) by Shinsekai Gakkyoku Zatsugidan (The King of Fighters ’98) BUBBLY CRABLOS STAGE by Capcom Sound Team (Megaman X2) Field 3 by Akio Ohmori, Ritsuo Kamimura (Mother) Timber Owls by Nobuo Uematsu (Final Fantasy VIII) Los Angeles Overworld by David Wise (Who Framed Roger Rabbit?) Thanks To… Stu Stone and James Morgan intro courtesy of Superfan Enrique. threeDel for the Steiner Bloodymania match. Some Guy for the Mongo commentary. I’ll admit, it’s more of a filler episode than usual as there’s been so many leftover stuff because of the ”one ppv” episodes. This means I have two other lesser-than-usual episodes lined up, so the benefit of the lesser quality is THERE’S MORE OF THEM.
Botchamania 230 Happier than a dog with two dicks, it's Botchamania 230: Link To The Pastamania! Thanks to... Enrique The Superfan for the Jay Lethal Intro Scoot Andrews for existing The Batiri for Kobald vs. Balloon Codster9 for Darkwing Duck Music... Toad Town Theme by Yuka Tsujiyoko (Paper Mario) Needleman Stage by Yasuaki Fujita (Mega Man 3) Game Over by Koji Kondo (Super Mario Bros.) A welcome return for an old (re: bad) Botchamania favourite, Sing Along With Fans. That crowd man, that crowd.
The appendix of wrestling (and by that, I mean it can be removed at any time), it's Botchamania 244: The Evil That Meng Do! Music... No Easy Way Out by Robert Tepper Re-Rewind (The Crowd Say Bo Selecta) by The Artful Dodger feat. Craig David Ghost Valley by Soyo Oka, Taro Bando (Super Mario Kart) Compression of Time by Nobuo Uematsu (Final Fantasy VIII) Thanks To... Superfan Enrique for Trent Baretta's intro. Hoodslam for the bag of unmarked bills. *Another* one PPV video. It was a much better show than Royal Rumble though, with Swagger vs. Langston, O'Neil vs. Young, the chamber and of course...The Wyatts vs. The Shield all worth a watch. And then they have to go and ruin it with Batista vs. ADR, AJ vs. whoever isn't injured, The Usos vs. NAO and a stupid amount of technical issues for such a tech-efficient company. The videos are shorter than they used to be so I can upload them onto Vimeo, who have stricter upload criteria but seem to last longer online than YouTube. So there. And anyone moaning about the advert can pay me more than what Hoodslam are paying and I would be delighted to remove it.
The video series that listens to it's fans almost as much as WWE does, it's Botchamania 242: Meng In Tights! Music... Escape! by Nobuo Uematsu (Final Fantasy V) STAGE SELECT 2 by Capcom Sound Team (Mega Man X) Talking with Ghosts by Kazumi Totaka/Shinobu Tanaka (Luigi's Mansion) Thanks To... All 17,000 people who sent me the Bootista ending suggestion. Everybody above the age of 20 sent me that as an idea, which just shows the influence and impact The Simpsons once had. So aye, Royal Rumble 2014. One great match, one non-match, one awful match, one great crowd and a bottom-tier Rumble.
The first Listamania video and what better subject to tackle than the most botched matches of last year? I decided to go with the term 'Most Botched' rather than 'Worst' as all opinions differ when it comes to that. I didn't mind most of the fan-voted 'worst' matches but considered them more 'dull' or 'ungripping'. Matches like Ryback vs. CM Punk or John Cena vs. The Rock II or Curtis Axel vs. Anybody aren't bad in the sense that the wrestlers can't wrestle or they don't know what they're doing, they're just forgettable. And the good thing about forgettable matches? You forget about them. In no real order apart from No. 1 which deserved it completely: 10. AJ & Big E. Langston vs. Natalya & The Great Khali (12th August Raw) 9. Matt Morgan & Rob Terry vs. Al Snow & Joey Ryan (TNA Joker's Wild) 8. Eva Marie, JoJo & Natalya vs. Aksana, Alicia Fox & Rosa Mendes (7th October Raw) 7. Daniel Bryan vs. Wade Barrett (16th August SmackDown) 6. Adam Pearce vs. Magno (28th Match Impact) 5. Sin Cara vs. Alberto Del Rio (19th August Raw) 4. Daniel Bryan vs. Randy Orton (Hell In A Cell) 3. Randy Orton vs. Sheamus (8th April Raw) 2. Big Show vs. Ryback (18th November Raw) 1. Big Show vs. Randy Orton (Survivor Series) There were a lot of ones that could have made the cut that didn't, so don't be surprised to see More Botched Matches 2013 like an old Coliseum Home Video release.
