Our Dancing Daughters is a 1928 American silent drama film starring Joan Crawford and John Mack Brown (later billed after a career decline as "Johnny Mack Brown"), about the "loosening of youth morals" that took place during the 1920s. The film was directed by Harry Beaumont and produced by Hunt Stromberg. This was the film that made Joan Crawford a major star, a position she held for the following half century. While the film has no audible dialog, it was released with a synchronized soundtrack and sound effects. Bland Johnson in the New York Mirror commented, "Joan Crawford...does the greatest work of her career." It grossed $1,099,000 worldwide. Song featured in this video is by Roger Wolfe Kahn......Lonely Little Bluebird 1928 (From "Our Dancing Daughters")....
Since I was unable to find much visual information on this musical I have used video clips of the dances of this era. The Girl Friend is a musical comedy with music by Richard Rodgers, lyrics by Lorenz Hart and book by Herbert Fields. This was the longest running show to date for the trio. The Girl Friend opened on Broadway at the Vanderbilt Theatre on March 17, 1926 and closed on December 27, 1926 after 301 performances. Produced by Lew Fields (Herbert's father), staged by John Harwood with musical staging by Jack Haskell, the cast starred Sammy White, Eva Puck and June Cochrane. White and Puck were married and well-known vaudeville performers of the time. Reviewers praised the humor, dancing, and the "captivating music." A cyclist trains on a wheel connected to a butter churn on his dairy farm. He is in love with the daughter of a professional cyclist. He is urged to enter a six-day race by questionable cycling promoter. Various gamblers try to cause him to lose, but he wins the race and the girl.
One pleasant summer's morning when all the flowers were springing O Nature was adorning and the wee birds sweetly singing O I met my love near Banbridge Town, my charming blue-eyed Sally O She's the queen of the County Down, the flower of Magherally O With admiration I did gaze upon this blue-eyed maiden O Adam wasn't half so much pleased when he met Eve in Eden O Her skin was like the lily white that grows in yonder valley O She's my queen and my heart's delight, the flower of Magherally O Her yellow hair in ringlets clung, her shoes were Spanish leather O Her bonnet with blue ribbons strung, her scarlet cap and feather O Like Venus bright she did appear, my charming blue-eyed Sally O She's the girl that I love dear, the flower of Magherally O I hope the day will surely come when we'll join hands together O 'Tis then I'll bring my darling home in spite of wind or weather O And let them all say what they will and let them reel and rally O For I shall wed the girl I love, the flower of Magherally O And let them all say what they will and let them reel and rally O For I shall wed the girl I love, the flower of Magherally O Music~Rowena Taheny
My childhood days bring back sweet reflections Of happy times spent so long ago But I'll spend my days in endless roaming Soft is the grass, my bed is free Ah, to be back now in Carrickfergus On that long road down to the sea Music~Rowena Taheny~

Sparrows(1926) was a film Mary Pickford starred and produced. Although quite dark, it is considered one of Pickford's best films and one of the best films ever made during the silent era. Evil Mr.Grimes keeps a rag-tag bunch of orphans on his farm deep in a swamp in the US South. He forces them to work in his garden and treats them like slaves. They are watched over by the eldest, Molly. A gang in league with Mr. Grimes kidnaps Doris, the beautiful little daughter of a rich man, and hides her out on Grimes' farm, awaiting ransom. When Mr. Grimes threatens to throw Doris into the bottomless mire, Molly must lead her little flock out through the alligator-infested swamp. Sending much white light and love to my friends. Blessed Be )0( ♥ White light is the space within the universe where positive energies are stored. White light can be called upon by anyone for protection from negative energies. White light cannot be used to harm, nor can it be harmed in any way. For this reason, negative or "dirty" energies can be sent to the white light for purification and transformation. http://www.jamendo.com/en/list/a88019/at-the-gates-of-dawn Music~~~Light Among Shadows Chasing leftover of the warmth that exists no more two bodies clashing in a struggle to entwine their souls again The passion, sunk in an ocean too deep to explore What's gone won't become anything but grief and pain The key to salvation lies within our ourselves Through wastelands we wander trying to restore what was lost blinded and afraid of our own A dark void swallows everything that we touch Our dreams collapse as our heartbeats break apart Our hands feel no warmth without the will to go on a last glance in your eyes, there is nothing to fight for Through wastelands we wander trying to forget what was lost blinded and afraid on our own After the storm a still calm awaits no pain, no grief, no hope any more no hope anymore we are all alone Through wastelands we wander trying to restore what was lost blinded and afraid on our own
http://www.jamendo.com/en/artist/367706/light-among-shadows ~Alone~ So crying in the rain where no one could see her tears looking for something to ease away her pain She crawled into the branches looking for shelter not aware of the danger of the earth collapsing A silver gate stood before her revealing a mythical realm beyond imagination Blinded by desires she couldn't tell apart the true nature of that fairyland Her mind blocked all the horrors she went through there but her memories were a beacon showing her the way twisted thorns tore her skin and flesh leaving nothing of her human self She didn't want to walk away but she had lost everything and she finally found what she was looking for something she had never had before to release the thoughts and emotions trapped in her mind There are no safe doors in a dream Nobody there to hear your screams And you long for something that is already gone And you realize that you've always been alone In the loneliness of her heart she got away with tears in her eyes walking her own path embracing the dark unveiling all her lies leaving all behind There are no safe doors in a dream Nobody there to hear your screams And you long for something that is already gone And you realize that you've always been alone

Time does change everything and not always for the better. Time does not always heal the pain of the people gone from our lives but serves to make the heart emptier. ╭☆╮....♥...╭☆╮....♥ ╭☆╮╭☆╮....♥...╭☆╮....♥ ╭☆╮ Nyctalgia was founded in winter 2007. "Red Moon" talks about a man who experiences the consequences of his wrong decisions. He is completely abandoned and as not being able to find the real love, he talks to the moon and believes that the moon pays attention. At the same time, he warns the moon about the shadow of his vulnerable side and he tries to protect it. Although the man has made many wrong decisions in his life, he still keeps purity in his heart. This part of his heart was always well kept and never under negotiation for any reason. The hero of this story could be male or female, of any origin, social status and profession, it doesn’t matter. What’s important in this story is the moonlight, when it reveals the hidden wounds in order to expose or heal them, once and for all. "My Heart Stood Still" is a 1927 popular song composed by Richard Rodgers, with lyrics by Lorenz Hart for the musical A Connecticut Yankee(1927), where it was introduced by Constance Carpenter and William Gaxton. Music by George Olsen and His Music~Vocals by Fran Frey, Bob Rice and Bob Borger. A Connecticut Yankee is a musical based on the novel A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court by American writer Mark Twain. Like most adaptations of the Twain novel, it focuses on the lighter aspects of the story. The music was written by Richard Rodgers, the lyrics by Lorenz Hart, and the book by Herbert Fields. It was produced by Lew Fields and Lyle D. Andrews. It enjoyed an original run on Broadway in 1927 of 421 performances and a number of revivals. A Connecticut Yankee opened on Broadway at the Vanderbilt Theatre (which was demolished in 1954) on November 3, 1927 and closed on October 27, 1928, running for 421 performances. Directed by Alexander Leftwich, with dances by Busby Berkeley, it starred William Gaxton (Martin, the Yankee), Constance Carpenter (Alice Carter/The Demoiselle Alisande la Carteloise), and June Cochrane (Mistress Evelyn Al Belle-Ans). In Connecticut in the 1920s, Martin is about to be married to Fay. When an old flame, Alice, visits him, Fay knocks him out in a jealous fit. As Martin dreams, he is seemingly in the court of King Arthur in 528. He falls in love with "Demoiselle Alisande" ("Alice") but the king's evil sister, "Morgan Le Fay" ("Fay"), kidnaps her. As Martin rescues her, he wakes up and realizes that it was Alice that he loved all along.
Sharing my personal photos of the November Full Moon with Full Moon fantasy images. Full Beaver Moon~~November~~This was the time to set beaver traps before the swamps froze, to ensure a supply of warm winter furs. Another interpretation suggests that the name Full Beaver Moon comes from the fact that the beavers are now actively preparing for winter. It is sometimes also referred to as the Frosty Moon. )0( Music~Usque ad noctem - 04 - Nam qui amisi~Fragor Project http://www.jamendo.com/en/artist/436794/fragor-project
