Deep Dish - Cavo Paradiso, Mykonos
Deep Dish have appeared as the featured artist on the BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix on several occasions. Their most recent appearances took place in 2006, on the 29th of July, when their set from Global Gathering 2006 was broadcast live on the show. Their June 2005 Essential Mix was one of the nominees for 2005 Essential Mix of the Year. Deep Dish is also well-known for their progressive house compilation albums in the famed Global Underground series. The last Global Underground album, by Sharam, was released in October of 2006. Additionally ,Sharam is also scheduled perform on the BBC Essential Mix in December of 2006. They also own and run dance music record labels Deep Dish, Yoshitoshi, and Yo, among others with the aid of their first label manager Chuck Roder. In addition, they owned and operated a retail store (also named Yoshitoshi) in the Georgetown area of D.C., which sold dance records and clothing. The store closed in 2003, although their labels continue to release music, mostly on the 12 inch single vinyl format.

Taking Over Me
L'histoire d'Evanescence a commencé par la rencontre entre Amy Lee (chants, piano) et Ben Moody (ancien guitariste). Ce dernier, sous le charme de la chanteuse lui proposa de se joindre à son groupe. Evanescence ne cesse de prendre de l'ampleur à Little Rock (Arkansas) grâce à la diffusion d' "Understanding" sur une radio locale. Leur premier EP sortit en 1998 et fut limité à 100 exemplaires. un second EP fut également très peu diffusé (50 exemplaires). Vient alors leur premier album "Origin" (2000), le groupe commence à prendre forme mais il faut attendre 2003 avec certaines apparitions comme "Bring me to life" et "My Immortal", bande originale du film "DareDevil" qui contribua largement à la popularité du quatuor. L'album "Fallen" (2003) acquiert une renommée mondiale. 5 titres du même album sont diffusés sur les plus grandes radios de France et du monde ! (Bring me to life, Going Under, My Immortal, Everybody's fool, et Missing) Tout va bien pour Evanescence, à part l'automne 2003, le guitariste Ben Moody quitte brusquement le groupe alors qu'ils sont en pleine tournée européenne. Le guitariste de Cold, Terry Balsamo, vient à le remplacer. Balsamo devient officiellement le guitariste d'Evanescence à la mi-janvier 2004.
