The Horn
Our favourite restaurant was The Horn where we listened to jazz. A traditional Ethiopian chef has been installed in the kitchen, spinning out fragrant African dishes. The evocative name refers to the jutting point of the continent where Ethiopia is located (seriously, get your minds out of the gutter, folks), but also makes reference to the restaurant's regular live jazz nights. Diners can sit surrounded by Ethiopian artefacts, nibbling on the country's unique cuisine and listening to the toe-tapping notes of a jazz band. Dining experiences don't come much more unique than this.

Taking the F-Train from Church Street Station near home at 414 Albemarle Road in Brooklyn then transferring to the D-train at West 4th street and at 59th Street taking the B-train to The Dwight School on West 89th Street across from Central Park. Then at lunch time going to the gym at The New York Sports Club on Broadway and 94th street.

Boxing Day Melbourne Australia 2006
Visiting with Sacha and Georgia for Christmas 2006 and wandering around Melbourne for Australian Boxing Day. The big thing in town the Test cricket match between Australian and England at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG). Otherwise everyone was throwing another shrimp on the Barbie and watching Shane Warne, at Warney's home ground get some stupid record and watching him bowl to Sachin, Sanath or Brian Lara of the Brits.
