Coolio - Gangsters Paradise

Coolio est né le 1er août 1963 à Compton, banlieue de Los Angeles, aux États-Unis. Il fait partie des rappeurs de la Old School. Avant de devenir rappeur célèbre, il était membre d'un gang de Los Angeles. Il avait signé un contrat avec le label Tommy Boy Records dont il a été un artiste pendant longtemps. Coolio est connu comme étant l'auteur des chansons « Gangsta's Paradise » (avec L.V.) et « See You When You Get There » de la fin des années 1990. Gangsta's Paradise est en fait une reprise d'une chanson de Stevie Wonder, Pastime Paradise, avec des paroles différentes.

Coolio a fait un bon chemin dans la musique puis, a décidé d'arrêter et de poursuivre une carrière d'acteur.
