I'm Dana Ward and I'm saying, let's jump right into this official nominee list for this year's MTV Video Music Awards. If we're giving a winner based on the number of nods, the 2010 victor is Lady Gaga. She earned 13 nominations - and she is the first artist to ever receive two nods in the Vid of the Year category... meanwhile Eminem got runner-up this year with 8 nominations. There were even some first-time VMA-ers including Justin Bieber for Best New Artist, Ke$ha for Best New Artist, Best Female Vid and Best Pop Video, Drake in the Best Male Video and Best Hip Hop Vid Categories, B.o.B. for Best Male Video, Best Collaboration, Best Pop Video, Best Hip Hop Video and Video of the Year. Also first timers, Florence + The Machine got 4 nods while Mumford and Sons got a nomination too. Beyonce gets some creds because her work with Gaga - in Video Phone and Telephone - got noticed. A few other artists mixed in there include Katy Perry, Taylor Swift, Jay-Z, Jason Derulo, Usher, Pink, Paramore, Muse, Rihanna and more. In addition to the normal BEST OF categories in hip hop, pop, rock, dance as well as the behind-the-scenes special effects, editing, direction, cinematography, choreography and art direction, Best New Artist, Best Female Video and Best Male Video are some of the coveted trophies. But, of course, Video of the Year is the hottest win of VMAs. This 2010 MTV round includes Lady Gaga's Bad Romance, Florence + The Machine's Dog Days Are Over, 30 Seconds to Mars' Kings and Queens, Lady Gaga featuring Beyonce and Telephone as well as Eminem's Not Afraid and B.o.B featuring Hayley Williams and Airplanes. Demi Lovato Get Back Video and "Dont Forget" Album Preview. Were hitting you with all of the info for Demi Lovatos debut album, Dont Forget. The first single off of the cd has already been well-received by audiences. Get Back debuted on the Billboard US Hot Chart at number-43 and 16 on the Hot Digital Songs list, even scoring an awesome number-6 on iTunes. The Get Back music vid is seriously fresh, fun and funky. Lovato is shown rockin with her band from sun-shining day to city-light night on a building rooftop just under the Manhattan Bridge. The emotion-driven lyrics are quite realistic and easy for anyone whos been through a break-up to understand. Demi sings about missing someone-special and wanting to get back to the old days together. But dont be mistaken here Lovato is certainly not talking about a sappy lovetale this song is full of upbeat rock, even matching the theme with a cool black-and-red stylish getup. Just before Get Back debuted after the premiere of the Cheetah Girls: One World film on the Disney Channel, the 16-year-old performed the single back in August live for Good Morning America. Lovato already hit musical success with some of the singles she was part of for the Camp Rock movie on Disney with This Is Me climbing all of the way to number-2 on the Hot Digital Songs Chart. She also has been quite busy traveling on the road with the Jonas Brothers for their tour. And according to reports, the brothers co-wrote some of her songs on the album and even sang a duet with the actress-singer. Lovato was quoted as saying that she tends to write more intense lyrical songs and the J-Bros helped her with some of the more catchy hooks. According to sources, she'll be shooting her Girls Gone Wild video this week. Her longtime manager Guy OSeary tweeted out the news last night, also adding quote, "The directors for 'Girls Gone Wild' video are Mert and Marcus... They also photographed MDNA album." This is apparently their first music video shoot...not a bad gig to land as their debut!As you might recall, the audio of Girls Gone Wild hit the web a few weeks back as part of an internet megamix that previewed a few of the tracks off the upcoming album which doesn't drop until the end of March. No word on what the video will be all about, but if the title is any indication, we're thinking it'll be standard sexy Madonna! The days of releasing just one music video for a song seem to be over....First Britney did it, and now Lady Gaga is premiering two different music videos for Judas this week. One will air during the Thursday May 5th episode of American Idol, and the other is a 7-minute clip that will air during E! News on that same night at 7PM eastern. We hear the video, which was co-directed by Gaga herself and choreographer Laurie Ann Gibson, cost $10 million to produce! Ryan Seacrest said on his blog today that E! will also air an interview with Gaga in which she tells Giuliana Rancic about her life, music and the uproar surrounding "Judas. Gaga has been pretty secretive about what the video will be about, but from what we've gathered, she plays Mary Magdalene, and Norman Reedus plays Judas Iscariot. Gibson told Billboard the vid is about shock value, adding, Ultimately, it's a story about oppression; a story about following your heart and the glory of being free." Gaga tweeted a pic with info about the upcoming vid today, which portrays her on a motorcycle, followed by several others behind her on an open freeway. The caption says, "Motorcycle Fellini PopArt FantasyFilm + Haus Directorial Debut," along with the date and time of the premiere. She also released the tracklisting for the album, which includes 14 songs total. Get ready for Judas, coming this week, and let us know what you're most excited about when it comes to the video....her outfits, the message? It's the end of the year, so that means it's time for a bunch of countdowns looking back at all the amazing things that have happened this year. Right now we're going to countdown the top 10 music videos of 2011. Let's get started with numbers 10 through 6. At number 10 the Doctor is back. "I need a Doctor" Featuring Eminem and Skylar Grey is a chilling video that is almost 8 minutes long. Filled with flashbacks and home videos of Dre's life it starts out with him getting in an accident, forcing him onto life support with Eminem singing to him. It ends with him coming back stronger than ever proving that Dr. Dre still has it. Coming in at number 9 we have Beyonce's "Countdown." We cannot get enough of this video. It features a pregnant, but still stunning Beyonce. We are totally feeling the throw back to 50's era styling down to the fashion and dancing. There is so much going on that you have to watch this at least a few times to catch everything, and even on repeat we don't get sick of it. At number 8 we have "All of the Lights" by Kanye West. Now this video is so intense that it has even been forced to have a seizure warning before it starts! But still the beginning shots in black and white are stunning, and we love the modern twist of the graphics that oddly looks vintage as well. Now at number 7 we have another star that uses black and white for its powerful affects. Adele's "Someone Like You" is hauntingly beautiful by itself, but pair it with her video and it's captivating. Yes, it's a simple premise with just a moving camera following her around, but you can see and feel the emotion radiating from the screen. And finishing off this half of the countdown, at number 6 we have Nicki Minaj's "Super Bass." This song was huge this year and we loved the video. Filled with pink everything, this video was super fun. And we totally loved the dance number between her and her back-up Nickis which reminded us of 90's grunge girl group. And our favorite part comes at the end, because who doesn't love a good black light effect, right? Well that finishes up the first half of the countdown! What did you guys think? So remember last week when we told you one of the character's names was Jason, AND based off her real-life BF Jason Trawick? Well little did we know that he would actually be playing the role! BreatheHeavy.com just posted over a dozen photos of Britney and Jason having fun on the set of the video. In one pic, Britney and Jason run out of a building, each carrying duffle bags. Brit also has a gun in her hand, and it appears they've just robbed a business. And then in a similar shot, Jason is pulling off a face mask as they escape. In another photo, they're seen getting into the getaway car. Brit seems to be having a blast despite the serious nature of the shoot, and even makes a goofy face as she weilds her gun and runs alongside Jason. Her wardrobe is super cool—black shorts, white tee shirt, black leather jacket and combat boots. His is pretty understated as well. This vid is going to be so much fun, and we can't wait for it to come out! In related news, Brit just said in an interview that shooting Criminal in England was her idea, and it's her first one not shot in the states! Returning in 2008 with new episodes, Classic Game Room breaks out a review of VIDEO PINBALL for the Atari 2600 video computer system. Have they ever made a good video game version of a pinball machine? Think of how many great pinball games there are... The Black Hole, Bride of Pinbot, Guns n' Roses, Terminator 2, Star Wars, Star Trek... the list goes on and on and on.
