Les Mandrades : Cobra se voit contraint d'accomplir une mission pour Elisabeth Tucker, une jeune femme qui retient Secret prisonnière dans son œil gauche, qui se trouve être une prison dimensionnelle !Il doit se rendre sur la planète Nazca afin de récupérer des Mandrades.Il s'agit de plantes au visage humain, qui ont la particularité de pousser avec des diamants en guise de dents !Elisabeth lui présente également trois mercenaires, dont chacun possède une capacité sensorielle hyper-développée (l'un c'est la vue, le second l'ouïe et le dernier l'odorat).Sur Nazca, le groupe ainsi formé arrive au pied d'un arbre giganteste, à l'intérieur duquel se trouvent les fameuses plantes.
