Like many Milwaukeeans, I’ve always loved seeing my favorite artists at Summerfest but this year was especially epic. My man, Prophetic, got the opportunity to open along with Dj Mad Hatter and Kid Cut Up for N.E.R.D. on the Miller Stage. Oh how I miss the days I worked security there, dragging drunkards kicking and screaming out of the back gate for fighting over a spot on the bleachers. Good times.I spent the whole day with Prophetic documenting it for him, everything from hanging out on the block, to practice, to chilling back stage in the N.E.R.D. dressing room. Yes, we did get a chance to sit with Shae, Pharrell, Fam-Lay and the crew but the pinnacle moment of the day was when I got the clearance to film part of the N.E.R.D. set which led to the video you see above.

A UK betting company has put in a bid to buy Paul, a German octopus with a uncanny ability to predict the World Cup winners. But the aquarium says Paul's not up for sale.A British betting chain has put in a bid to buy a psychic octopus living in a German aquarium.Paul, the octopus, holds a 100 percent success rate for predicting the winners of this year's World Cup matches. Bookmakers, William Hill, is fearful of Paul’s tipster talents and wants to prevent there being any more accurate predictions. [...]Anyone putting a 10 pound bet on Paul's first prediction and continuing with the same amount on further tips would have won almost 3,000 pounds. [...]Spokeswoman at ‘Sea Life’ aquarium, Tanja Munzig, says the English-born octopus is definitely not for sale. [...] Paul's unbeaten World Cup run began on June 25, after he predicted that Germany would knock-out English rivals in the last 16 of the tournament. The octopus was given the choice between taking a mussel out of one of two boxes - One with an English flag, one with a German flag. Whichever box Paul took the mussel from would win the game. Paul chose Germany in a matter of minutes and sure enough, Germany thrashed the British boys, 4-1. On June 29, the eight-legged prophet chose Germany against Argentina in the Quarter Final and again proven right with Germany's 4-0 win. And much to Germany’s despair, Paul was no less right with the prediction that Spain would throw Germany out at the Semi-Finals. Next, Dutch hearts must have sunk when Paul’s winning tentacles plumbed for Spain to lift soccer's most coveted trophy. In recognition of his uncanny abilities, Paul has been awarded with his own replica World Cup trophy. The aquarium says Paul will now return to his old job, which is, quote, “to make children laugh."
