Whether intentional or not Audi has released the first details of the 2011 Q5 Hybrid ahead of its unveiling at the Los Angeles Auto Show. On the styling front, there doesn't appear to be any major changes except for new wheels which are undoubtedly wrapped in low-rolling resistance tires. Inside, there's a revised instrument cluster (which provides an overview of the hybrid system) and a smaller luggage compartment which holds 480 liters (17 cubic feet) of cargo. Like the A8 Hybrid concept, power is provided by a 155 kW (211 PS / 208 hp) 2.0-liter TFSI petrol engine and a 33 kW (45 PS / 44 hp) electric motor. Producing a combined 180 kW (245 PS / 241 hp) and 480 Nm (354 lb-ft) of torque, the Q5 Hybrid accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 7.1 seconds and has a top speed of 222 km/h (138 mph). Furthermore, the crossover can run on electricity-alone but only up to 3 km (1.9 miles).

Analysts are saying don't be surprised if GM's fourth-quarter earnings are not that good because it had to spend money on developing and introducing new vehicles. MINI will debut a concept in Geneva called the Rocketman, which is smaller than any car it builds now. Aston Martin just introduced its latest sportscar, called the Virage, which is powered by a hand-built 6.0-liter V-12 that cranks out 490 horsepower. All that and more, plus John answers your questions about ethanol, the Toyota Prius and much more in the "You Said It!" segment.
Ferrari has publicly unveiled the 458 Challenge at the Bologna Motor Show. Built for the company's single-racing series, the Challenge features a race suspension (with solid aluminum bushings, stiffer springs, and single-rate dampers), Brembo CCM2 brakes (from the 599XX), and 19-inch wheels with Pirelli tires. Furthermore, to reduce weight, the car has been outfitted with thinner body panels, carbon fiber components, and Lexan windows. Power is provided by a 4499cc V8 engine that produces 570 PS (562 hp / 419 kW) and 540 Nm (398 lb-ft) of torque. While this is the same as the 458 Italia, engineers modified the dual-clutch gearbox and installed 'F1-Trac' (traction control) with settings for wet and dry conditions.
