Puissant ! Du bon rock.

Joe Cocker (né le 20 mai 1944) à Sheffield est un chanteur de rock anglais et de blues. Il débute sa carrière musicale dans sa ville natale, où il participa à plusieurs groupes dès l'âge de quinze ans. Le premier était The Avengers, sous le nom de scène de Vance Arnold, puis Big Blues (1963), et enfin The Grease Band (1966). En 1969, il apparaît au programme télévisé états-unien The Ed Sullivan Show. Son premier tube est la chanson « With a little help from my friends », une reprise blues d'une chanson des Beatles, extraite de l'album Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. La même année, il participe au festival de Woodstock. Au début des années 1970, Joe Cocker rencontre des problèmes de drogue et d'alcool qui ont une influence négative sur sa carrière musicale. Heureusement, il réussit à revenir dans les années 1980 et 90 avec plusieurs tubes : Up where We Belong, (Chanson écrite par Will Jennings, chantée avec Jennifer Warnes pour le film An Officer And A Gentleman et qui remporta un Academy Award) You are So Beautiful; When The Night Comes; Unchain my heart; N'oubliez Jamais (Catherine Deneuve joue dans le clip de cette chanson) A little help from my friends What would you think if I sang out of tune, Would you stand up and walk out on me.
