Radiohead - Street Spirit (Fade Out)
Radiohead- Street Spirit, music video. Street Spirit (Fade Out)" (commonly called Street Spirit) is a single by Radiohead, released in 1996, which is the closing track from their 1995 album The Bends. The single is also acclaimed for the quality of its B-sides. "Talk Show Host" moved to prominence after appearing in the 1996 film, Romeo + Juliet and like "Street Spirit," has since become a mainstay on Radiohead's concert setlists. The track has been covered by rock band The Darkness. Thom Yorke has said the song was inspired by the 1991 novel The Famished Road, written by Ben Okri, and that its music was inspired by R.E.M. The track is built around a soft and melancholy fingerpicking-like pattern (although actually played with a plectrum). "Street Spirit (Fade Out)" became Radiohead's first song to hit the UK top 5, and remains one of their larger hits in their home country. .::Taken From en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Street_Spirit_(Fade_Out) ::..

Since this idea had existed in Oscar's mind for a while, the name, general direction and some music (such as the song "Steel Meets Steel") were already there. It was decided that HammerFall had to be forwarded on a project level, since both wanted to keep on with their other, freshly started, bands, Crystal Age and In Flames respectively. They enlisted the help of fellow metallers Niklas Sundin (guitar) and Mikael Stanne (vocals) of Dark Tranquillity, and Johan Larsson (bass guitar) from In Flames. .::Taken from: http://www.hammerfall.net/main.html ::.

Deicide - Homage to Satan
Deicide is an American Death metal band. The word "deicide" means "the killing of deities" or, in the Christian era "the killing of God or Jesus Christ". The word can also mean "one who kills God", a moniker perhaps rather fitting. Deicide was formed in Tampa, Florida in 1987, first playing under the name Carnage. After Glen Benton joined the name was changed to Amon. During this time they released two demos: Feasting the Beast (1987) and Sacrificial (1989). In 1989 the band's name was changed to Deicide by force of Roadrunner Records, as Amon was the name of the house in the King Diamond album "Them". Deicide then released their self-titled debut album in 1990. The band's original lineup consisted of Glen Benton on bass and vocals, brothers Eric and Brian Hoffman on guitars, and Steve Asheim on drums. Both Eric and Brian tended to play complex solos at fast speeds and with overlapping riffs, which gave Deicide the definitive heavy sound and complex song structures. .:: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deicide_(band)::.
COF - The Forest Whispers My Name
These are heady days for those of us who wear our devotion to metal like a badge of honour. The deafening beast of the dark depths has lived to roar and rampage again and the scene has never been in a happier or healthier state. But don’t be deceived. Metal never really went away. In fact, its current fortitude stems entirely from the bands that never surrendered; those brave, liquor-soaked men whose total disregard for the vagaries of fashion and finance kept them glued to the grindstone through metal’s mainstream wilderness years. Now, as seems wholly fitting, the greatest of these are finally reaping their rewards and hitting new creative peaks as they surge unstoppably onwards and upwards. And, as it was in the beginning, so shall it be in 2006. Just as the gravel-lined, turd-stained streets of urban England gave heavy metal to the world back in the late ‘60s, so that small country with the big voice continues to be the place where the world’s finest dark metal band rest their weary, alcohol-ravaged heads after another sonic killing spree. Love them, hate them or both, Cradle Of Filth is back again to fondle you while slitting your throat. Thornography has arrived. .:: Taken from: http://www.cradleoffilth.com/biography.html ::.

Creep - Radiohead
Radiohead are an English rock band from Oxfordshire, initially formed in the mid-1980s under the name On a Friday. Radiohead's lineup has remained the same since their inception, with Thom Yorke (vocals/rhythm guitar/piano/electronics), Jonny Greenwood (lead guitar/ondes martenot/keyboards), Ed O'Brien (guitar/backing vocals), Colin Greenwood (bass/synthesizers) and Phil Selway (drums/percussion). Radiohead released their first single, "Creep" in 1992, followed by their debut album Pablo Honey (1993). The song was an unexpected worldwide hit, and the band were widely branded as a one-hit wonder.[1] However, Radiohead met with success at home in the United Kingdom with their second album, The Bends (1995), earning fans with dense guitar atmospheres and frontman Thom Yorke's falsetto singing.[2] Radiohead's third album propelled them to greater attention; popular for an expansive sound and themes of modern alienation, OK Computer (1997) was named a landmark record of the 1990s by many critics.[3] .::taken from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Radiohead ::.
