Dead Or Alive - Spin Me Round
"You Spin Me Round (Like a Record)" is a song originally released by Dead or Alive on their 1985 album Youthquake. This song was the first UK number-one hit for the Stock Aitken Waterman production trio. Originally released in November 1984, the record reached number one in March 1985, taking fifteen weeks to get there. The music video for the song is cheaply made, very surreal and tells no story, but the visuals are nevertheless bizarre (such as Pete Burns in a purple kimono, seemingly growing extra arms, or him with the infamous eyepatch; the other three band members tied up in some ribbons; close-ups of a disco ball, etc.). At the end the other three band members wave flags around in circles, and Burns is tied up in a gold ribbon. The 1996 remix video involves Burns posing and lip-synching in various locations and outfits. The 2003 video has only Burns, drummer Steve Coy, and keyboardist Jason Alburey, spinning in gold CGI swirls. Burns once again constantly changes outfits, and is also pictured on a spinning bed.

New Order - Bizarre Love Triangle
New Order are an English rock group formed in 1980 by the remaining members of Joy Division following the suicide of singer Ian Curtis. Melding post-punk and electronic dance music, New Order became one of the most critically acclaimed bands of the 1980s. New Order has often been cited by fans, critics and other musicians as a highly influential force in the alternative rock and dance music scenes over the past 25 years. Current members include Bernard Sumner (vocals, guitars, synthesizers), Peter Hook (bass, electronic drums), Stephen Morris (drums, synthesizers), and Phil Cunningham (guitars, synthesizers). In 2001, keyboardist/guitarist Gillian Gilbert (joined in 1980; she and Morris are married) left the group due to family commitments.

New Order - True Faith
"True Faith" is a 1987 track from New Order, produced by Stephen Hague. It was the first New Order single since their debut "Ceremony" to be issued in the UK as two separate 12" singles. The second 12" single features two remixes of "True Faith" by Shep Pettibone. Both versions of the 12" (and also the edited 7") also include the song "1963." New Order wrote and recorded "True Faith" and "1963" during a 10-day studio session with producer Stephen Hague. The two songs were written as new material for New Order's first singles compilation album, Substance 1987. After the two songs were recorded, the band's US management decided that "True Faith" was the stronger track and would be released as the new single, with "1963" as the B-side. "1963" was remixed and issued as a single in its own right in 1994.
