Massive Attack - Teardrop
"Teardrop" is a song by Massive Attack which was first released on their 1998 album Mezzanine. It was released as a single on April 21 1998. The original version of the song features vocals by Elizabeth Fraser (of the Cocteau Twins). An instrumental version of "Teardrop" serves as the theme song for the American version of House, a medical television series starring Hugh Laurie. The song opens with a bass drum beat that is reminiscent of a heartbeat, lending itself easily to the show's medical theme. The instrumental version was also featured on the TV series Prison Break, in the episode Tonight, during a scene that contained brief flashbacks of the reason each of the prime character wanted to escape.
Massive Attack - Butterfly Caught
Butterfly Caught is a song on English trip-hop collective Massive Attack's fourth full-length album, 100th Window. It was released as the second single from this album on June 16, 2003. The song was written by Neil Davidge and Robert Del Naja, the latter of whom performs vocals on the song. A video for the song was made, featuring Del Naja in a series of sequences where his body is transformed into that of a wingless, dead moth while a live moth flutters its wings in time to the lighting in the room, which themselves flash in time to the beat of the song. The video was directed by South African Daniel Levi.
