Interactive Print from MSC Technologies using Augmented Reality to blow your mind!

For a bit of fun and as a very keen Dale supporter I inserted Interactive print into the Rochdale AFC v Port Vale Matchday Program.
The Interactive print allows the holder of the matchday program to scan any page within the program that has the interactive print programmed in with their Smartphone using a free to download from iTunes and Google Play "Layer" App.

It was placed in the program for demonstration purposes to show just what can be achieved using a smartphone.

The Interactive Print uses a technology know as Augmented Reality. Yes it's a bit of a mouthful but basically A.R can enable digital content to be placed into a real time environment, in this case the Matchday program. The Rochdale v Port Vale game was played in April 2013.

The Steve O’Shaughnessy goal shown on the video was at Spotland Stadium before the redevelopment of the Stadium in the 1990s. Anybody guess who the opposition was? There are other goals that I could have chosen like the Andy Flounders "Higgy from the half way line" style goal and many others but you have to agree that shot from Steve O’Shaughnessy takes some beating.

Sadly the Interactive Print has now been removed from the program but you can imagine what this could do to posters, fliers, business cards, etc. Let me know what you think.
There is a cost to setting up the Interactive Print but that could be more than made up with links from sponsors etc. Feel free to connect on the website links below.
