Thanks for finding ClevverMusic on YouTube. Hip Hopper Nicki Minaj had a huge year in 2012 and performed at all the biggest music award shows of the year. But when the 2013 Grammy Nominations came out her name was nowhere to be seen, and last year she received three nominations. In a recent USA Today interview, Nicki claims that's just fine with her. Why is that? "I've gotten tons of awards and I believe when it's my time to get a Grammy, I'll get a Grammy," Ever confident Nicki believes it is just a matter of time, and she's willing to wait for it. But she said something else interesting, "I think that the Grammys had a different reason, that I do not want to discuss... and that's just between me and them. But I respect their organization and I'll get a Grammy eventually. I'm not worried about it." I don't know about you guys but were super curious what this "different reason" is? Do you think it has anything to do with her controversial 'exorcism' performance at the Grammys last year in 2012? Not sure. It's good to hear she's not worried about it though. Hey guys you're watching ClevverMusic with a music update. The 70th Annual Golden Globe Awards broadcast live the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles, hosted by funny ladies Tina Fey and Amy Poehler. While Tina and Amy shocked the audience with their hilarious antics during the show, Adele stunned by winning her first Golden Globe award for "Best Original Song" for the James Bond penned song "Skyfall". Wearing a classic black boatneck dress, she accepted her award with one of the night's best speeches. Adele was notably shocked to win the award saying, "Oh my God!... Honestly, I came for a night out, with my friend Ida, we're new mums... We've been pissing ourselves laughing over here." Her charming speech ended by thanking her boyfriend who convinced her to do the song and finally "my lovely son". This was Adele's first public appearance since giving birth to her first child in October. Before the show on the red carpet in an interview with NBC Adele was asked how motherhood was treating her and she responded, "It's lovely." Seems like 2013 is off to a lovely start for this record breaking singer who had the best-selling album in 2012 for a second year in a row. For her Golden Globe win the "Skyfall" singer beat out Taylor Swift's song "Safe and Sound" from The Hunger Games, along with Keith Urban's "For You", Bon Jovi's "Not Running Anymore" and Les Miserables "Suddenly." Three new acts have been added to the performer lineup—Maroon 5, Foster the People and The Beach Boys! According to reports, all three bands will appear on stage and perform together, which has sort of become the theme of this year's show. For example, Coldplay and Rihanna are coupled, along with Carrie Underwood and Tony Bennett, Kelly Clarkson and Jason Aldean, and more. For the Beach Boys, this is going to mark their first appearance on stage together in more than 20 years. No songs have been announced, but we're assuming they'll perform some sort of medley with each of the bands' songs. What do you guys think about this latest addition? The New York Post reports that Kel has signed on to be a mentor for Blake Shelton's team of contestants for season two! She'll reportedly be helping Blake's picks along their journey on the show, and that she won't appear on it til March or April. Clarkson has spoken out about her love of the competition show, saying in an interview quote, "The thing I love about 'The Voice' is that they're more mentors — they're not judges, adding, "I would never really want to be a judge, just because I don't want to break people's hearts." Ryan pointed out that Carly didn't mention whether the song would be her own new music or included on Justin's album, but it's safe to say that the audio track or music video will earn about 3-trillion views on YouTube. Okay, so many not 3-trillion but we totally get where he's going. The power behind JB alone will rack up crazy numbers and it seems like Carly's fanbase is strong and only getting bigger -- especially with her Call Me Maybe track breaking the Top 10 on iTunes. Chris Brown and Frank Ocean reportedly got into a fight over a parking spot at Los Angeles recording studio. Ocean claims that Brown punched him, but sources reportedly claim that Ocean's entourage started the brawl. No arrests have been made at this time. Kristina Behr has the story.
