A l'occasion de la mort de Steve Jobs (dont je dois admettre que je n'ai jamais été un de ses fans et je n'ai même jamais acheté le moindre de ses produits... je préfère les PC et les tablettes Android), je suis tombé sur la vidéo de son fameux (et vraiment excellent) discours à Stanford, et, vers la fin de ce discours, il y a cet extrait que j'ai isolé car il résume à merveille ma conception de la meilleure façon de vivre sa (trop courte) vie.

Dans nos médias spécialistes de la pommade envers les puissants, la visite de Sarkozy aux USA a été une réussite lumineuse comme diraient certaines.Par contre, quand on regarde l'émission politico-comique "The Daily Show" de Jon Steward du 1er Avril 2010, et qu'on écoute la réaction spontanée du public à la fin du passage du discours qui est repris dans l'émission, on se rend compte du froid qu'il a jeté... et surtout du fait qu'il a renforcé tous les clichés que les Américains ont sur nous, en particulier le fait que nous sommes d'horribles donneurs de leçons vantards.En effet Sarkozy fini par "Welcome to the club of States who don't turn their back on the sick and the poors" (bref l'air de dire "il était temps que vous ayez enfin ce type de couverture que tous les autres pays développés, dont le notre, ont depuis très longtemps, car c'est vraiment le minimum de protéger ainsi ses citoyens")
