Abstraxion - Moribayasa
Harold Boué aka Abstraxion is a french London based producer. His two previous singles on Different Recordings, Jus` Acid and Jaipurs Elephant were supported by Andrew Weatherall, Erol Alkan and Brodinski to name but a few. Harold explains his idea behind this new track,`The word Moribayasa comes from Guinea, it’s a dance for a woman who has overcome a great adversity. The idea was to create hypnotic and psychedelic music that makes the body dance. Something that is pulled from deep inside to create a chant, from darkness to light. A kind of a shamanic experience.` The stellar remix package comes courtesy of Argy, DJ Kaos and Brioski Argy says of his remix - "When i heard the original for the first time it was clear to me which part i was going to use as i immediately fell in love with that industrial sounding lead sound that Abstraxion wrote. My idea was to build a bridge between old school NY Warehouse beats and a more futuristic Berghain aesthetic. Something that could have been made 10 years ago or 10 years later in the future." Dj Kaos on his Re – Edit says – “I just stripped down the original mix! i had a feeling that it works better with less elements going on. The original mix is great too but for my taste and club experience its just too much going on, too much building. i just looped two parts of the song and build new rhythm parts snares, claps, hi hats very simple and functional. The mix works amazing!.` And finally Brioski says of his remix of Alter Echoes, `I wanted to add a funk touch with the inclusion of slap bass. I wanted to keep the Abstraxion sound synthetic, developing my remix with analogue sound, some percussion, mystic riffs and at times psychedelic.` Abstraxion - Moribayasa is available on digital download and 12” through Different Recordings on 27/02/2012

Tiga What You Need (from the album Ciao!)
new video for Tiga !What You Need will be released on 19/04 with remixes from Steve Aoki, A-Trak and ChromeoThe new video for Tiga’s “What You Need” is loosely based on a series of short narrative poems the musician wrote about replacing Canada’s wooded areas with green screens and weird models. Avid Tiga Story Club readers will be able to spot elements from “Livin’, Leafin’ n’ Lovin’”, “How Could You Leaf Me Here to Die” and “It’s Just a 4est 2 U (SoulDenial)”.With regards to casting, Tiga had originally planned to be as hands-on as his hands would allow. “I had certain types in mind for the characters. I asked the director to show me The Longestshoreman. The Fish-Eating Vegetarian. The Cross-City Skier. He came back with what you actually see in the video. I said, ‘Fine. I’ve got a big softball game to worry about. You figure it out.’”And figure it out he did, creating a vivid dreamer’s scape that takes the word “surreal” back from inarticulate college dropouts. “The team that worked on this video are a regular ‘Who’s-UNNGH!’ of young creatives,” says Tiga. “I will make sure each of them receives a copy of my album. But they will not be autographed, because I now consider these people my peers. Dream on that.”video directed by CASSIANO PRADOvideo production company AGILE FILMS

Vitalic - See The Sea (Red)
See The Sea (Red) taken from the album Flashmob (2009).The video illustrates how the Vitalic Flashmob cover artwork was made. It's an oniric and contemplative journey of a man recreating the 19th century experiences of Etienne-Jules Marey on fluid dynamics.Smoke lines represent the notion of stability, the triangle goes for the disturbance and incidentally for the V of Vitalic. The concept of a flashmob is illustrated here as a result of an intruder perturbating a stable environment.Directed by //DIY & BrillantineDP by ART10In Memoriam Etienne-Jules Marey (1830 - 1904)http://www.myspace.com/vitalicofficialhttp://www.facebook.com/vitalicofficialhttp://twitter.com/vitalicofficial
