Linda Kowalski Lobbyist has had an outstanding 27-year career in public affairs and government relations. She is widely regarded as one of the most effective lobbyists in Connecticut. <br /> <br />She has worked effectively with the administrations of Govs. O'Neill, Weicker, Rowland, Rell and Malloy. <br /> <br />Linda has a track record of consistent success for her clients. For example, Linda lobbied to pass important and innovative legislation for the Connecticut Association of Optometrists so that Optometric Doctors could take advantage of technological advances and practice to their education and qualifications. <br /> <br />Linda founded and supervises all aspects of The Kowalski Group, LLC, growing its client list to become of of Connecticut's Top 10 firms. <br /> <br />Her own background is diverse, too, as she has worked with banking, financial services, retail, telecommunications, not for profits, private schools, marine and auto trades, waste management, electric restructuring, public utilities, telephone competition and on environmental issues. <br /> <br />In 1999, Linda Kowalski was recognized by the Hartford Business Journal as one of 40 outstanding entrepreneurs under the age of 40. She has also received numerous awards and recognitions such as the 1992 Outstanding Service Award from the CAO. In 1993, she received an award of appreciation for dedicated service to the profession of Podiatric Medicine. Also in 1993, she was recognized by the Connecticut Campgrounds Owners Association, Inc. for her leadership in getting a 12 percent tax on campgrounds repealed. <br /> <br />In 1994, Linda received the George A. Comstock, OD, Distinguished Service Award in recognition of her service to the profession of optometry. In 1995, she was awarded a certificate of appreciation for her efforts on a Student Center Bonding Bill. In 1997, the Connecticut Dental Hygienists Association recognized Linda Kowalski for her work toward advancing the profession.
