That was a scream, there was nothing mechanical about that noise, and I agree that no matter how many screams you hear in movies, it does not compare to the real thing. It gave me chills hearing it. My thoughts are with their families.
To jdrush2001: sounded more to me like either just video/RF noise, or helicopter engine noise, maybe rotors, something failing. cus it's so high pitched.
none the less, tragic loss, my heart goes out to them, and the families.
Am I the only one who has heard this pilot screaming as they cut back to the anchor? When she says "We don't know what has just happened there", right after "what", you can hear the poor guy screaming, as the audio from the feed is being faded out. I think that's what has affected me the most about this video. No matter how many times you hear "screams of terror" in the movies, they don't capture it ... THIS is for real, and I felt sick when I heard it. And I have a pretty strong stomach. I feel for the pilot's family, knowing the last thing they hear from him is that scream. *shudder*
