I'm a music lover and fanatical record collector, especially vinyl. I love prog and psych in particular but still have a pretty good knowledge of blues, folk, a little jazz and the weirder the music gets the more I usually like it.

I used to go to hundreds of gigs in my youth, highlights include Zep at Knebworth, Pink Floyd, the Wall at Earls Court, Genesis, Yes, Captain Beefheart, Rush,Camel, Steve Hillage, Peter Gabriel, VDGG, BJH, Hawkwind, The Who, Roy Harper, Ozzy, Radiohead at Earls Court and lots of punk gigs inc The Clash, Buzzcocks,Slits, 999,The Adverts, Eddie and the Hot Rods and lots more but as a family man these dropped down to a trickle in recent years.

Now I'm going to gigs again but this is because my daughter Becky Rose has suddenly blossomed into a very promising singer songwriter and as a keyboard and accessories are bulky and heavy then I'm there to help her (great excuse for me to check out pubs and clubs and catch some great entertainment at the same time !)

There are some great acts on the Worcester scene and just a few of my personal faves have been the Shambollix esp the Insurance mega medley! Matt Woosey, Fellfield, Babajak, Gwyn Ashton and an amazing off the cuff cover of a Rage Against the Machine song (Killing In The Name) by Si Anthony and Death!!

Since then I've seen and heard even more brilliant stuff from the Hereford and Worcester scene and I've put reviews of these on my Myspace blogs....enthusiastic or what :-D
