Austin's soulful Black Joe Lewis packed hometown Waterloo Records for an in-store performance, celebrating the release of their fourth studio album. Topping Waterloo's Texas charts, 'Electric Slave' is raw and raucous to its core, and BJL's talented six member band hardly holds back bringing the infectious album to life with howling vocals, gritty riffs, and a multi-instrumental horns section to boot. Catch six tracks - "Young Girls," Mammas Queen," "Come to My Party," "Golem," "Guilty," and "Skulldiggin" - from 'Electric Slave' performed live and "go buy that shit," as Lewis says before the band leaves the stage to sign autographs.

Folk-pop singer Lissie rocked out barefoot on the Threadgill's stage at KGSR's pre-ACL Fest event. Performing "They All Want You" and "Further Away (Romance Police)" from her sophomore album and 2013 release, 'Back To Forever,' Lissie showed off her vocal gusto and talent, getting Austinites out of bed early to kick off the second beautiful day of festivaling.
