As a little girl,I dreamed about flying a spaceship or in a time machine.I was told those are „impossible dreams“.In my work, sometimes I have a chance to take a ride with a time machine and research the unknown. In a way I’m living my dream together with my associates and friends. As indie filmmakers, together we often succeed to overcome the “impossible”.99% of the material in this clip is from EU archive. It wasn’t simple to construct a new creation from so many different material regarding content, aesthetics and time periods;but I found such concept challenging, because that’s exactly what Europe is–community which unites many differences under the roof of one common dream. The only shot from my archive is footage of my 14 months old niece Lena getting up from her crib fascinated with the rocket flying to space.Lena is now 2 yrs and crazy about aircrafts of any kind.Who knows, maybe as a citizen of strong and united Europe she will succeed at what everyone told her aunt was „impossible”.
EU & Climat changes, Family & children, human future, alternative & bio energy, ecologie This is a story about the real things into the fairy tales, about the modern problems and the old well known tales, through the eyes of a little girl. The short movie presents two points of wiew - the scary side of the fairy tales and our society, and the positive side with all actions that were taken or could be taken in the future by the EU citizens and all people in the World. Also we show some World enterprises as The Earth Hour which is one of the answer of the new generations against the climat changes all over the World. Our story has its Happy End like all fairy tales, but it depends from us to make this happy end real. By Kiril Katsarov & Miroslav Gaidoshik

an idea of Europe as an outward looking communications hub rather than a fortress riven by strife. This is a smaller file size version of the one uploaded on 15 March at:http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xcld85_frames-of-reference_shortfilms.

Above all children need love for a healthy development, and it is them we leave Europe to. By educating this and next generations we create Europe, and build not only our future but our present too. Children say laughter; we adults say entertainment. Children say safety; adults say Justice, Employment, health insurance. Children say encouragement; adults say Education, Development. Children say: asking questions; we say Information Society, Research. Children say imagination; we say culture, innovation. Children say: sometimes we need to make mistakes; we say social dialogue, tolerance. Children say understanding; we adults say diversity and social solidarity. And love. Love is the foundation of any worthwhile initiative, including joining communities. All children's needs are the exact same issues that Europe pursues for the adults. And hence the idea to - through children’s eyes and needs - picture Europe that deals with those same issues for all of us, big or small.
This film contains original footage (from the north-western ending of the former Iron Curtain), as well as audio and video material from the media archive of the European Commission (showing the cities of Gdańsk, Lübeck, Stockholm and Tallinn). The Music resp. the soundscape has been produced for this short movie exclusively. In accordance to the artistic cross border character of this film there are no subtitels during the few german, danish and swedish sayings. For full understanding, here are the english translations of the respective paragrafs:(Willy Brandt:)"The European unity is not handed to us on a silver plate by any government. This is not the way it works in history. Europe has to be eked out. Without this resoluteness the European freedom, the European civil rights and the social Europe will not be existing." (orig. german)I already feel like a citizen of an European Region. (danish)And I can witness it growing together (german)– closer and closer. (swedish)
Behind our history there are more 50 years. We have to go back, to look at our past, in order to understand the present and figure out the future. Let’s walk all together to reach that knowledge, beacause the knowledge is the main goal in the journey of everyone's life.
For Us, young European people Europe is not a dream. We grown up with the idea of a Europe united over boundaries and difference. But now we have to take our chances and make the dream concrete.
