This Video is the result of an open task Video Project at the Köln International School of Design, on which we worked from December 2012 to February 2013. We used the Microsoft XBOX360 Kinect and ReconstructMe to scan a human body to create the character. After rigging, we used MoCap-Data for the model animation. The seemingly simple yet vibrant low-poly environment was created to mirror the melancholic mood of Pariah's track. It took over a week to render the clip on a 8-machine renderfarm, we set up at the university. Please feel free to ask, if you have any further questions. Thanks to everyone for the numerous reviews, reposts and all the postive feedback for our project! Thanks to the Vimeo Crew for the Staff Pick! Designers: Philipp Carbotta — sundaysunday.de Hannes Hummel — hanneshummel.de Thilko Limbeck — thilkolimbeck.com Music Credit: Pariah - signal loss R&S Records randsrecords.com London-based producer Arthur Cayzer, known to most in his Pariah disguise, stumbled upon his inaugural single on legendary R&S Records almost by accident. Late one night he was listening to the original track he’d sampled and was inspired to turn its soulful direction into warped r‘n’b with a heavy bass line. Titled Detroit Falls and placed on his MySpace page, it was picked up by R&S, who have since taken the producer under their wings where he debuted with a six-track EP. Like its maker, Safehouses journeys into myriad territories of smokey beats, atmospheric dread and soulful elation.

Compa - To Me feat. Björk, Follow Compa on Twitter: www.twitter.com/compauk and his website: www.compauk.com Mixmag - "With dubstep producing truly exciting moments with less frequency these days, Compa is someone you can look to for remarkable flashes of low-end inspiration. The Lancashire DJ/producer has developed a rolling, highly-percussive style that's all his own, with rhythms coming wrapped in dusty crackle, shot through with jolts of electricity and underlined by subtle, subby tremors. He strikes the perfect balance between classic, meditative dubstep and the genre's more recent dungeon offshoot, which is eerie and unsettling. Following 12" cuts via his own WXWL label as well as Boka and Kokeshi, he's been newly signed to Mala's Deep Medi imprint, perhaps the most revered seal of approval in true-skool dubstep circles." T. Netherton - "Following his debut appearance on Get Darker TV in March 2011, Compa released his inaugural 12" single with one of Dubstep's foundation imprints Boka Records ('Sentence' / 'Beginning') and his infamous bootleg of Mavado's 'Dem A Talk' [on his own vinyl-only WX/WL imprint] - which sold out worldwide within one week of its release. Since then, Will has returned to Get Darker and has also been blessed enough to showcase his sounds live on the prestigious Rinse FM. With a sound that is perpetually nostalgic, yet equally refreshing, Compa's music displays a binary relationship between 'Foundation Sound' homage and Forward-Motion thought. Spacious textures, heavily built sub-frequencies and intricate execution of minimalism are but a few significant ways in which his music can be described. The Compa sound has received acclaim from across the board with key influences like BBC 6 Music's Gilles Peterson & Nerm showing praise, as well as J:Kenzo and B-Traits amongst others on BBC Radio 1 and 1Xtra. Tunes like 'Dem A Talk', 'Alpha', 'Narabeh', 'Signals' and 'Antact' have even found their way into the record bags of scene pioneers Mala (Deep Medi, DMZ), Chase & Status (Ram, Mercury, Renegade Hardware) and US Dubstep Ambassador, Joe Nice (Dub War, Reconstrvct) amongst many others. Whilst operating his own label and club night, WR/WX (WX/WL), you can still catch Compa on Sub FM every Monday 12pm-2pm GMT. In addition to performances in The Netherlands, Croatia, Belgium, Russia Portugal and Turkey, Compa has also toured Sweden and the United States since he began touring at the start of 2012, with a diary of international bookings forthcoming." Tomas Roels, better known to us as TMSV, is one of the most exciting prospects to emerge from Dubstep’s ever-evolving scene in the last few years. In-between juggling the commitments of his Law degree, the young Dutch producer from Utrecht has consistently delivered tough, sub-focussed tracks that demonstrate both his musical aptitude, and his desire to create fresh and forward thinking productions. Tomas draws his inspiration from a wide spectrum of influence and the rugged aesthetics of Jungle in particular can be heard referenced in his music, often dominated by raw bassline energy and effervescent percussion. After signing his track Subconscious Brain to Rotterdam based label Tube 10 back in 2010, TMSV graced the second release of the fledgling Box Clever imprint, Black Box’s sister label, with Signal and Cold; a critically acclaimed record that highlighted his arrival in the community as a leading purveyor of ocean-deep Dubstep music. Tomas soon returned to the Bristol based label with All It Takes/ Back Off, another release of exceptional quality, finely balancing vividly melodic and thoughtful soundscapes with earth moving sub-frequency pressure. By this time his beats were being transmitted across the globe via Rinse FM and Radio 1, and regularly causing havoc in the sets of the most respected DJs around, including Mala, Joe Nice, Chef, N-Type, Distance, Skream and Phaeleh. Youngsta in particular had a strong affinity with the sounds TMSV was building; Myth was a staple of Yunx’s Rinse show and live performances, with him opening his legendary DJ sessions with those instantly recognisable quivering flute lines for months on end. After months of fervent anticipation, Myth finally dropped on Box Clever at the end of 2011 backed with the equally sublime Flow, and with more releases confirmed on the label for 2012, we can expect further additions to the already glittering back catalogue. With a constantly diversifying focus, he has explored the dubbier side of his music with a series of roots flavoured remixes on Reggae labels Greensleeves, Foundation Sound and Reggae Roast, and reworked Mavado vocals over the now classic Dem A Talk anthem. 2012 has seen Tomas combine forces with a host of exciting talents. His collaboration with DJ Madd, Difference, was another Youngsta favourite and got snapped up by the limited Black Box XXX series, backed with a heavyweight remix by the prolific J:Kenzo, and studio time with Dutch DnB legends June Miller yielded Lost Cause and Ghost Ship, two lethally percussive rollers released on the XXX series shortly after. In recognition of an outstanding couple of years, Tomas has been invited to perform at Outlook festival 2012, where he will be delivering his inimitable style of beats alongside some of the most celebrated musicians, producers and DJs in bass music.

From the Last Breath EP out on Body High Purchase here : https://itunes.apple.com/fr/album/last-breath-ep/id471457349 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Last Breath EP is the first release from DJ Funeral. Evil and meticulously wrought club music, the record seems to bang out from the walls of a forgotten insane asylum. Combining influences such as Tahitian drumming, bubbling, and Baltimore club with his own sensibility for the twisted and haunting, the young DJ Funeral has emerged here with a brazen, possibly cursed, record prone to send any club into a dark and hypnotic trance.

Keep your eyes well and truly peeled for the new The music video for new single 'Choosing For You' was premiered to rapturous response on Rolling Stone and it was directed by Tony Truand who has previously been responsible for highly viewed music videos for Noisia, Foreign Beggars and Skrillex. Led by the debut single 'Make Those Move' (that was streamed over 330,000 times in just 3 weeks), this unified front takes Hip Hop and Bass to a seriously new level. Noisia's high profile studios in Groningen, Holland were put to the test over many strategic hours to complete the final cut since 2008. As Noisia explain: "The album was made during countless sessions (no more than 40 full studio days max) over the last five years. Many passes of production and scrutiny reached every track, alongside a plethora of feedback spread sheets and whiteboard summaries. We never set a deadline for ourselves; the whole idea of a full album only took shape later in the process when we realized how much material we had generated and how cool it could be to put it out as one big thing." It's a special bond between the two crews who have previous history. Noisia and Foreign Beggars first realised their joint potential after collaborating on the 2009 track 'Contact' that was released on the 'United Colours of Beggatron' album by Foreign Beggars' label Dented Records. This tune blew up dance floors worldwide and set a precedent for where I Am Legion is today. Its 8.5 million plays on YouTube opened up a worldwide fan base wanting more, and leaving the artists realising that they can do it alone. Working on further material post-Contact and its otherworldly cousin tunes 'Shellshock and 'Soul Purge', both crews decided to fully release themselves from trying to format anything to fit in with industry expectations or norms at all. I Am Legion nods to rap's erstwhile forays into electronica, absorbing elements of its present whilst laying out a reassuringly disturbed vision of what's to come. Miss this collaboration at your own peril. http://iamlegion.co.uk

http://www.youtube.com/user/rapkadrummer from planet mu "Vex'd are Jamie and Roly from London. Jamie just told me on the phone that they met at school (not in Bristol as I'd previously mentioned) and have known each other since time... But it was while in Bristol that they released their first two classic 12"s on the Subtext label. It was 'Pop Pop' (from Subtext 1) & 'Lion' (from Subtext 2) that caught my attention on their demo... I wanted to release Lion but they'd already cut it... so we decided to roll with the new stuff... first fruits were the 'Gunman'/'Smart Bomb' single which was followed by the 'Degenerate' album in June 2005 which I think opened up the idm and techno minds to the possibilities of dubstep... And has since gone on to be the best selling dubstep release so far. This was followed up in early 06 by the menacing 'Bombardment Of Saturn' showcasing a slightly more sinister sound. Their new stuff for the forthcoming album is sounding amazing, and i'm sure that you will all be blown away by it... meanwhile we will be releasing their remix of Distance's Fallen... deep"
