Goldcup Records

Goldcup Records, based in Italy, was established in 2006 by the work of two members of River Nile Band: Luca Corellas and Marco Evangelista. After some time Mattia Ragni also joined the staff giving a crucial support to the work of the label. It’s main purpose is to produce riddims getting inspiration by Jamaican Roots Reggae & Dancehall tradition, revisiting it with the latest black music's tendencies. Goldcup’s first release, published on 2007, has been “Babylon Is Fallin’” a tune performed by the Italian upcoming singer Ras Tewelde featuring Lutan Fyah. <br /><br />On summer 2008 Golden Riddim, the second release. Golden its a powerful new roots riddim that made possible the collaboration with Sizzla Kalonji and Teflon. On April 2009, Goldcup Records presents the definitive collection of the Golden riddim on CD, published with collaboration of artists from many parts of the world, from Europe to Carribean Islands. During summer 2009 a new member joined the crew, Gabriele Rogari, that helped Goldcup in the new projects development. <br /><br />The new year start with another release for Goldcup, that present another mightyfull new roots riddim, Mirror riddim, voiced by  top charts artist like Lutan Fyah, Teflon, Bushman&Ras Ijah, Khari Kill, Nature, Ras Tewelde, Lion D and Jah Nyne. The release of distribution has been bring forward by the presentation of the Mirror Riddim’s Official Video Medley, sing by Ras Tewelde, Lion D and Faianatur.
