An Australian woman has died in a base jumping accident in Malaysia, after her parachute failed to open. Tantiky Lie Marion, 42, was conducting a practise jump from a 165-metre tall communications tower in the Malaysian city of Alor Setar. Marion was with 19 other international jumpers training for the annual Kuala Lumpur Tower International Jump in Malaysia's capital city in October. Base jumping is a popular sporting activity where parachutists jump from tall buildings, bridges and cliffs. Eyewitnesses say that the woman fell to the ground after jumping off the tower and that her parachute failed to open. The management of the Alor Setar tower confirmed the incident but gave no further details.

A woman survives after she plunges into crocodile infested waters on the borders of Zimbabwe and Zambia when her bungee cord snaps.

An unidentified object, believed to be a fragment of a meteorite, has landed on an Israeli beach near the central city of Tel Aviv. The Israeli police released mobile phone video shot by a lifeguard, which showed the object burning on the beach in the town of Bat Yam, as people gathered round to observe. Witnesses said the object began burning as it hit the ground. No injuries were reported. An Israeli police spokesperson said that the object was taken for examination by explosive specialists and will later be studied at a geological institute.

Controversial Baby Dynamics Yoga Millions of people around the world were left stunned when a video of Lena Fokina doing 'baby yoga' broke on the internet. The 51-year-old Russian was filmed spinning and flipping babies above her head and behind her back in such an outlandish fashion that several websites banned the footage for glorifying what to many would be considered child abuse. In fact, the moves were so shocking that most conceded they were being performed on a doll as no sane person would consider them acceptable. However, we tracked Lena down to a seminar called "Parenting the Deliberate Way" in Dahab, Egypt, where parents from across Europe were paying her to perform the same moves on their infants, some just a few months old.
