ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) STORY: U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry arrived in Seoul on Thursday (February 13) for talks with South Korean counterparts on North Korea and regional issues. Kerry landed at Seoul Air Base on Thursday afternoon for a two-day state visit, the first stop on his week-long trip to Seoul, Beijing, Jakarta and Abu Dhabi. Kerry will meet South Korean President Park Geun-hye and the country's Foreign Minister Yun Byung-se later in the day to reaffirm the strength of their alliance and discuss ways to expand cooperation on regional and global issues, the U.S. State Department said. A joint news conference with Yun follows the meeting. In South Korea, main topic will be North Korea, which over the weekend rescinded an invitation to a U.S. diplomat to visit Pyongyang to discuss the fate of an imprisoned U.S. missionary.
